don’t make up nonsense to justify their anti-consumer practices. their games aren’t magic made from gold.
its software. just like every other game. and I can think of a thousand games off the top of my head with amazing “gameplay and graphics that’s timeless.”
N64 games regularly cost in the range of $60 to $80 in the mid 90s. In today’s dollars, games would need to be double that to match the same cost. Just because the price goes up a little in the last 10 years, doesn’t change the fact that games are at a historic low cost. There are reasons to be upset about how far (or not) your hard earned dollars can go today, but video game prices are not one of them, objectively.
The cartridges themselves make up for the price difference. Don’t equate the physical cost of n64 cartridges versus the completely trivial cost of distributing software now.
Ok, then don’t play them. Why are commenting on this again? This is some autistic „stop liking things I don’t like” shit, grow up.
Nintendo makes unique hardware and games. It’s a consequence of philosophy that drives this company. There are good and bad things about it but explaining things as they are is not their defence. I’m not defending it because at the root of things all of this is consequence of capitalism and getting angry over this would be like getting angry over rain. My way of dealing with this is joining a socialist party and contributing to my surrounding environment, not ragging about Nintendo, who despite their faults are one of a kind.
you accused me of being “autistic” which… I’m not sure if that’s meant to be an insult?
and then immediately follow that with “grow up.” fascinating.
anyway, the hardware nor the software nintendo sells aren’t unique in the slightest. and most of the nintendo branded software on the switch 2 won’t be new nintendo IP. Mostly older ip… that they’ll charge you for if you’d like to use the new fancy 120fps and graphics!
the games you already own. for switch. you get to give them more money. on top of the 70-80 you already payed for the game.
=)
and the rest of the content on the switch 2 is stuff everyone with a next gen console has had for a while now. hell even lower end handheld PCs are already around and cheaper than what nintendo wants. and the games are cheaper because they go on real sales. nintendo doesn’t really know how to do those.
Nintendo used to make unique hardware. The Wii, Wii U, DS, 3DS and even the Virtual Boy innovated and brought something to the table that nobody else was offering. Even the Switch’s erasure of the handheld/console divide was unique. This Switch 2, though? It’s a Switch on steroids. This is the same uncreative shit that Sony and Microsoft have been doing, just an iteration on their previous offering.
Nintendo’s innovations have purchased it a lot of good will from consumers. When the innovations stop, expect the good will to follow suit. That’s only natural.

but I dearly hope you enjoy.
I accused you of autistic-like behaviour, there’s nothing fascinating about it because it’s so common amongst immature gamers.
so you did mean it as an insult. you know? maybe you and nintendo are perfect for each other.
enjoy your console, man =)
