We've played the first episode of The Expanse: A Telltale Series and our initial verdict is cautiously optimistic.

The era of the telltale games is pretty done and over with. It was a good gimmick (in a nice sense) for a while, but got stale. TWD and the Wolf one were quite enjoyable though

Both of those were original stories. TWD built off the universe, but was completely different from anything else put out with that name at the time. If they want to recapture what they had, they need some originality.

Wasn’t The Wolf Amogus based on a comic book?

It just felt like a generic gritty take on european fantasy to me

I didn’t think there was anything “generic” about it. It was a pretty unique story and setting IMO. But regardless, my question was simply whether or not it was an original Telltale creation, which it wasn’t. It was based on a graphic novel called Fables, though the game was apparently a prequel to the comic.
