i agree but isn’t the 4090 thing caused by a badly designed connector by nvidia?

i find that unreal is popular among asset flippers. might explain why you dislike games made on it.

the containerization features alone would make graphene worthwhile over other roms. i hear graphene can pass play integrity attestation inside those too.

afaik no, at least not like this just yet. which i find super ironic, as it’s one of their main claimed reasons to block linux off of their shitty games.

i wonder if we’d need wine to be patched for this in addition to the kernel, or how long it would take for someone to cook something up.

i’m not fighting anyone, i’m stating reality.

it’s a shitty reality, but capitalism must expand it’s profit margins, and the ai thing + the oil thing is making a dent. and yes, i’m aware they use the excuse to sneak in a margin of their own.

can the experts tell me why this won’t lead to cheap mass produced graphene this time?

you can think of any kind of realism in a game like this. we may see lighter llms or faster computers that could run them better.

realistic physics don’t add a lot to most (not all) games and it was computationally expensive for the time, very fun though. great eye candy graphics will often add to the feel and immersion of a game, but realistic graphics is chasing dragons computationally. still cool.

i can see chatbots adding an interesting layer of realism to games, provided it’s done correctly. say, in gta type games, or in the sims type games.

this is honestly one of the cool uses for ai.

though licensing an always online proprietary llm screams of problems down the line.

one silver lining about this new oil crisis is that we might see much less carbon being dumped on the atmosphere.

Reuters could not determine how Hua Hong achieved the advanced manufacturing capability

huh. i’m guessing it’s not EUV yet and they are using that crazy method of using the old process twice?

i wonder how they are managing costs, or rather how they are keeping yields up, or if it’s gonna be limited production like their previous chips.

announcing something absurd then dialing it back to something better in comparison seems like a common strategy to making things worse lately.

this change alone would probably have backlash, but since the alternative was androidpocalypse users are relieved instead…

motherfuckers could probably have ended hunger in their country for that kind of money.

that’s how much of a piece of shit this pedophile is.
