Oof… Man, to live in the US. I don’t envy you guys, though things aren’t really going the right direction here in the Netherlands, either.

Link to the past has some strong core memories connected to it, let me tell you

That’s interesting! May play it again, with this… Perhaps on my phone, not sure if I could muster the discipline to actually play on my PC.

It does? Huh, must’ve missed that, thanks.

Been putting many hours into a righteously modded Stardew Valley. So much fun, so much content, so much to do… It’s just a blast.

Apart from that I’ve been playing Chants of Sennaar. Also a very good game, with just the type of puzzling it turns out I enjoy.

Fwiw, I agree with you, but written text does need some benefit of the doubt regarding inflection and intention, sometimes.

Here’s a link to my current setup with Total. (My actual home home screen is the sixth image, I can’t seem to alter image order on Pixeldroid…)

It’s a combination of three: Monoic, Snow and Whicons. Mostly Whicons.

So I’ve been using Total Launcher for a while now. Not open-source at all, but it is the most customisable I’ve found.

I made a unique launcher that way that’s completely suited to my tastes. I’ve had the vague plan to share it, but the work involved hasn’t made me do it yet…

Here’s some screen shots, though. I made it in order to have as much space to see the wallpaper as possible—I have a directory filled with nice wallpapers and I change them randomly every hour with Tasker.

I dunno… I also see a Pixel 6 for about 40€ more. Which is also supported by LineageOS, at least. Seems a better buy, but I’m not too well-informed here. What do you think?

I see a refurbished q28gb model for €210 on a website here… But the Pixel 3 is six years old by now. Is that a good price for this phone? I have a Huawei Mate 10 pro which is starting to act up, but that’s only a year older.

I do love OSMand, it is easily the app I have used and depended on the most in the past ten-ish years.

Really interesting video, though sadly I never played the original.

As a side note: what you’re playing there seems like it would be a good example of the Loudness War.

Oh, that sounds like that game with dwarves. Dwarf Fortress or something?

Honestly, OsmAnd doesn’t have that bad of an ui these days. I’m perfectly happy with it, most of the time. Definitely prefer it to Google Maps while cycling.

Aw man, such a phone existed? Sounds like a dream at this point, honestly…

Still using it myself, in fact! LMT is still going strong, though I imagine it would work better if I were able to root the phone I’m using at the moment.
