That’s what it was called, I tried to remember the game from a couple of months ago, when a bunch of big RTS streamers were suddenly all playing it for a few days. I’ve never seen a game that got boring so fast.

Typical micro-only focus with basebuilding and economy completely automated and a extremly limited pre-selected tech tree.

You could try AoE4 instead. Basically a reboot of AoE2 in a modern engine.

Not only that, it’s still active, including a competetive scene with regular livestreams and tournaments.

Probably OoT followed by MM. At least those are the ones I spent the most time on.

But I also really enjoyed all the NES and GBC games. Especially Oracle of Ages/Seasons were amazing.

Haven’t played anything newer I’m afraid.
