I still play ffxi to this day and I fully remember moments like that. Good nostalgia but I’m also glad they don’t make games like that anymore. FFXI itself has been modernized to remove this kind of grind and is still getting new content updates. You should check it out again.

They’re different genres, not really direct competitors

1.4.5 is a major update? Then why isn’t it 1.5.0 or 2.0.0? Use semver, people!

I think we’re just getting old and people have forgotten or never played it at this point

They’re right though. Those archived games would definitely be played… For fun. The problem is that even though the graphics aren’t as good, a lot of older games were fun and had great replayability. Eventually, there will be such a big historical catalog of games that people will be able to enjoy just legacy games without ever buying new ones.

The solution is simple: have some non-profit org manage the historical catalog, sell the old games super cheap, and send that way whoever holds the rights can still get profits off the old games. They could even give you different download options like game-only, or game in a VM that is guaranteed to actually be able to run the game.

Okay as little Gwent as possible. Otherwise you will get hooked on it until you burn out and stop playing the game entirely because you’ve forgotten all the storyline and mechanics.

Well you have to know the model of your graphics card and your operating system. If you don’t know those things, you will have to either figure it out or download the app so it can detect that information automatically.

So much money for a game I’ve never heard of

It would be hard to balance a game if some people have 100 hours of gameplay as a starting point and some people have none

There’s no guarantee this is how it will be for long. One benefit to the current system is fast queue times, not necessarily satisfying player’s desires (such as no solo lanes) or fair matchmaking (though some is involved). Faster queues means more games which means more analytics can be gathered by the devs to assist in making the game better. That’s the nature of a beta/playtest.

How new is it? I just set this up about 2 weeks ago and it required logging into both computers

You can likely use it from different physical locations. But just know that I’m order to set it up, you have to login with your account on their computer at some point to enable the family sharing feature. So unless you go there qnd do it, or remote into their computer to do it, or give them your password, you can’t use that feature. Some level of trust in each other is required.

Do they hit people with the ladder if they don’t buy?

As a general intelligence tool yeah it’s not good. But for gemerating art or replicating voices, it’s much more usable, especially when you can spend some time tweaking it a bit or making small changes to the output to get close enough to what you want. If that process is cheaper than hiring real people for the job (or if it’s faster) that’s going to be a huge motivator for producers to cut jobs.

I just bought a new phone. I went with a Galaxy again. I really wanted the Sony because it has a great feature set. However, I was not confident in long term support, which Sony has said will be much shorter than competitors. And it also cost about 30% more than the other flagship phones. I can’t justify spending more money for a phone that will last me half as long.

I think what made it an obvious parody was the over the top PSA/commercials they broadcasted, and the fact that citizens are treated as a privileged class. I think at one point someone mentions that they have to become a citizen in order to be legally allowed to have children and that’s why they joined the army. It’s so far abstracted from our own reality, that I even picked up on the fact that it was a parody watching it for the first time at 12 years old.

I prefer the way chrome handles x509 certificates more than Firefox does. It’s still not perfect though.

Actually, OP did not use the original title. The linked article does include the name in the title.

I’m guessing that samsung probably has a link on their website for people looking to repair their phones and on order to get your shop listed there you have to agree to use samsung certified parts

Being vague about the requirement leaves more options for game companies to find various solutions to comply. It’s quite accommodating.

Sounds detective to me. But I’ve only played FF7 Rebirth on it so far

Never heard of Foamstars but the FF games have no micro transactions. I also know the FF games will reach sales goals over time once more people get access to the PS5 or when they release PC ports. And I know several people who are waiting to play the FF7 remakes until all 3 games of the trilogy are released.

The writing I see on the wall is that these AI require such a large data set to create that only mega corps are going to have them. They allow some free access now, but in a few years they’re gonna start enshittifying the free tier and jack up prices
