My favourite games don’t look nearly as good as in my memory. Graphics don’t matter, they might even hurt, because there is less left to imagination.

Also age of account? Mine is 21 in just over a week…

Then there will be a market for steam accounts (if there isn’t one yet)

Beer (without alcohol) was part of the daily diet in the history (e.g Egyptians). You can pretend it’s the same case here.

Violence and gore? 13+. Some boobs? Adults only.

Killing good, love bad.

I’ve actually got some space cowboy vibes, so the swords in the end felt kind of weird. But I’m cautiously optimistic.

I used to play it with my sister, too. Makes me want to dust off my N64 and bring it with me on Christmas to battle it out once again.

People will buy it. And then they will wonder why content quality declines and more and more micro transactions appear in a game they bought and pay subscription for.

The capitalism will always look for the easy route to even more money, and monkey brains with need for status symbols will follow.

Welcome to capitalism. Big gaming companies do not care about games anymore, they care about how to maximise profits. Their games are manipulative and developed together with psychologists solely to get your hard earned money at any opportunity. They got so good at it, that they are able to release pieces of software which are looking like games but actually are milking machines and no games at all.

You just have to take a step back and you will be able to easily differentiate between products of corporate greed and games.

Games once were supposed to be entertaining and even art. And there are still some, mostly indies.

The characters aren’t real

I think he means Mobas or Tower Defense games

Ocarina of Time is the mother of modern 3D gaming with Z-targeting.

Capitalism and politics

It’s a closed system owned by a single company. If you provide data or information there, the company owns the data, other people can’t find the data using search engines and they would need an account to access the data. Imagine the internet is owned by a single company and they could sell, change, censor, delete restrict access to or use the information in means you cannot predict.

Until ten years ago we used TeamSpeak for voice chat, IRC and forum for text. You can host all of them yourself. Today we have the fediverse and matrix. The problem is that kids get caught by the likes of tiktok and discord (because they are easily accessible with no other requirements than a phone or pc) and they can’t get away from them.

Discord is the antithesis to free web. Stop using it. I won’t join any community using discord.

Oh yeah, and fuck Nintendo

Imo they shouldn’t do Witcher 4, you should stop when it’s best. They won’t be able to meet the expectations and only disappoint when people compare it to W3.

No

Edit: sorry I just found where I can view my playtime on PlayStation, it was 413 hours without endwalker

Same for me, I wanted to introduce someone into WoW during COVID and for nostalgia reasons, only to see that they took away the adventure and exploration and transformed it into a soulless husk. I dropped it immediately.

You are exaggerating, I played it all and it took somewhere between 200 and 300 hours (including side content and most raids at least once).

I just finished it the first time and hoped to play the DLC soon, because I usually don’t come back to a game for DLC. Quite disappointing.

Is this a troll post? Who cares in which store it’s available, just get a physical copy.

Steam shills are really mind boggling.

Tell Sony, they got so fucking greedy with their PS Plus.

I enjoyed all of them and FFXVI too. I think it’s okay to reinvent FF combat every iteration to keep it fresh. I’m not sure if I’d enjoy a turn based combat today like I enjoyed it 20 years ago.

It’s the same with WoW, it was a better experience when you were just a foot soldier and not the hero and saviour of Azeroth.

Totk is overrated as hell, I had so much more fun with any other game on the list

Yes, my boss came to me and said exactly this “we need AI in our product” and I asked “what do we want to do with AI?” I’m still waiting for a definitive answer, in the meantime I’m supposed to do the technical concept without even knowing what our goal is lol.

ITT: Steam shills pretending that their platform is better.

I personally do not care at all, I only buy physical games or wherever it’s cheapest.
