I’m confused by the part that says it’s not actual gameplay footage. Then it shows something that looks like the original. What are we looking at here?

Yeah you don’t want to move to the country doing the tariffs, because everyone will tariff them back. Better to move to one outside of them like Malaysia or Vietnam.

If I can’t stand it in RDR/RDR2 or GTA among many others, I don’t think it’s something for me. I’m perfectly fine with going down a path with a few side paths to explore. Open worlds have gotten too pervasive and too big.

Newness. I like a game that unfolds at a nice pace with moderate challenges. Games like Uncharted or Stray. I don’t like doing things over and over and over, so no to roguelikes or soulsborne games.

I’m even tired of open world games for the most part unless they reveal nicely and have good fast travel like Horizon. I didn’t finish the most recent GTA’s even, too much backtracking. I just want to be taken to a new place and see it unfold with some interesting but solvable challenges in between.

A lot. Some of the most important ones are Netherlands and UK. They come from all over Europe, Asia, and North America.

Exactly. It takes tens of thousands of discrete pieces of technology from 30+ companies to put a fab together. If you are missing a piece, no fab for you. So yes, if you can manage to block some part of that chain, you can effectively block that fab from being built.

The main thing they can’t do is 4nm fab. That’s what the US is trying to prevent.

No, but their peak sales rates are massively different too.

The stuff in yellow on EU’s Eastern border is the stuff Trump plans to give to Putin.

As nice as the narrative is, the sales numbers would beg to differ. Steam deck, for example, can’t touch Switch’s numbers, and even if you combined all windows handhelds it would still be a tiny fraction.

I’m kind of open-worlded out TBH. I still enjoy a corridor shooter with some nice graphics and good plot line.

I need the same but for Mastodon, does anyone know of anything that’s still working?

Here’s the prompt for anyone who’s too lazy to scroll through the whole thing:

Nearly 10 million children in the United States live in a grandparent headed household, and of these children , around 20% are being raised without their parents in the household.

Yes it would be nice but there are many reasons I would want official versions of the best. First off, game companies have little financial incentive to make modding happen. Second, most mods don’t work on all platforms, such as consoles. Hopefully official versions would get wider release. Third, some financial incentives for modders, like the chance that they could sell their mod to add to the original title, would hopefully help the modding community.

I don’t mean the usual game company tactic of trying to extract money without adding value. I mean paying modders for their creations and then putting them out officially. I’d bet it would pretty much always be more profitable than doing it in house, and in most cases produce a better result. I mean, why don’t we have some beautiful next gen Skyrim from all the mods out there, or VR versions of most games- the mods are pretty good usually.

With so many good mods out there I’m surprised this doesn’t happen more.

Buying an Xbox rather than a PS4 in the last generation was the biggest disappointment in my 40 year gaming history. I won’t be doing it again.

Are these chips actually made in China or still made in Taiwan like most high performance chips?

There’s a commandos 2 HD remaster that was released not too long ago if you want to relive the glory days.

Yeah but this is true of 90% of movies and it’s far from one of the most common tropes.

Seems like it’s a coalition that will have app developers, app stores, maybe an OS, etc.

Every use case you described is already filled much better IMO by the high fps e-ink tablets like the Boox Tab Ultra. I would not want to do any of those things on the shitty screen shown in this post.

Fair enough but is that enough to buy a whole different computer with a much worse display? Modern e-ink displays can do probably 10-15 fps on high frame rate which, while not perfect, is probably adequate.

No idea what the niche would be for this as there are already excellent looking e-ink displays which can play video in a pinch. Who’s going to go for a shittier looking one just for a higher refresh rate? I don’t think many gamers are looking for shitty looking black and white screens.
