Its in alpha so I’d expect it to be buggy for a while. Performance for me is pretty much the same as it was a few months ago, but I never had any issues.

Its a competitive shooter/moba, basically none of the game would remain if it was transitioned into a PvE game.

There arent AI bots sprinkled in, there’s just troopers and jungle camps, which either dont move or walk in a straight line down their lane. They aren’t meant to be a challenge, theyre just tools for gaining souls and creating map pressure.

PvP is only rage inducing when you let it be. Mute whiny people and just enjoy yourself.

Fair enough, definitely depends on your taste! Just wanted to make sure anyone reading didn’t think it was legit US Military propaganda lol

I wouldn’t call them undertones and its entirely satirical, unlike COD.

I didnt say $80 worth, I’m just saying it has a lot of new mechanics, I dont think it’s fair to say they’re just releasing the same game again.

Thats just not true though. There’s a lot of new mechanics. Whether or not they’re good mechanics I can’t say, but they are definitely new.

Yep, I imagine it’d get bad if I let myself rot in my room all day. I spent time with family, worked out, went for walks, watched some new shows and movies, read some manga, did some hobby projects, but I still spent more time gaming than anything else.

Idk I’ve been unemployed with enough savings to not go straight into job hunting. I had a blast spending most of my time gaming. Just helps to have a few other smaller hobbies.

I have a friend with a small stream and she definitely considers a lot of the people she’s met in chat friends.

Having one thing be your only hobby will get boring for the majority of people, so just have some extra hobbies. I could definitely spend 75% of my time gaming and the rest on other hobbies and feel great.

I could agree that subjectively it isn’t worth real money, but its kinda silly to say games should never charge for anything. Free games need a source of income, and if it doesn’t effect gameplay in game purchases are fine by me.

Nah the Verge is just fucking stupid. Its a mode that let’s you buy moba-like upgrades between rounds. The rounds are basically shortened versions of normal overwatch gamemodes.

That mode is way closer to a moba than csgo. Its kinda just stealing what Deadlock is doing. Even added 3rd person for it.

Why are writers at the Verge so bad at describing games?

Many people were or are fans of franchises made my Ubisoft. They’re mad to see these IPs they enjoyed being ruined, which is fair.

Neither Deadlock or Rivals are going to beat each other because they are extremely different and play nothing alike. Both games will probably be successful.

You can download the driver directly, GeForce Experience isnt necessary.

My point was that a game being from a common genre has nothing to do with its ability to innovate. Not sure where I implied that I was obligated to reply to you. I disagreed with your sentiment, so I shared my own opinion. It’s fine if you feel my comment was aimless, but I disagree.

The game does what its trying to do excellently, and knowing Valve it’ll continue to improve until release. If you like MOBAs and you like good shooter mechanics, you’ll most likely enjoy this game.

streamers don’t owe playing a single game forever to their viewers. If you like the streamer you can follow them to another game, or you can find someone else to watch. It’d be very strange to expect someone to play to not play the game they enjoy most just because you subscribe to them on twitch, especially when you can stop subscribing whenever.

NGL losing your guardian the first time you back is a skill issue. Maybe if the entire enemy team rotated to your lane. It usually takes at least 2 retreats to lose your guardian. More if you’re playing with your lane teammate correctly and using your speed boost at the right times.

I don’t think it’s people that can’t get into MOBAs, it’s people that enjoy good movement and shooting mechanics, while also enjoying MOBA mechanics, which a lot of people fall into. I can also say for certain that SMITE will not scratch the itch of people who want good movement and shooting similar to a traditional shooter.

Because something is an FPS it can’t be groundbreaking? FPS is an incredibly wide genre, something being an FPS does not mean it cant be doing new incredible things.

Not that I’m saying this game is groundbreaking, it isn’t, but it is a really excellent fusion of two of the most popular genres in the world.

Im fine with grinding in a lot of games, but I expect Rivals 2 to be multiplayer and competitive first. I don’t think it makes sense to make people have to grind for characters in a game where the main focus will be finding your main and playing online.

A Solo Leveling game recently released on mobile and it has very reasonable microtransactions from what I’ve seen. This could be similar.

That does make sense. I’ve mainly used gyro on PC, where Steam Input lets you change the sensitivity per game.

I mostly play on a Steam Deck, which lets you use it on most games by emulating a mouse. I played through GTA5 and some other shooters with it. On switch, the others I know of are Splatoon 2 and Overwatch 2 (I think)

IMO it is definitely very superior. If you practice enough you can get pretty close to the precision and speed of a mouse for small movements.

I believe they work on the main console interface, but the majority of games don’t implement support, especially FPS games due to the advantage they offer.

It already doesn’t have PC crossplay, why not just disable console crossplay, or use the same input based matchmaking other games use, with gyro as an added input? Disabling a superior input is incredibly stupid and will lower the skill ceiling of the game, which is already going to be lower than on PC.

I didn’t realize psn wasnt available in some countries that could purchase the game. that is really messed up.

The game said this on launch and made it clear on the steam page. Even if they weren’t enforcing it, I think its silly to be upset that they’ve started. I’d also rather sign into a PSN account and have functioning crossplay than deal with the current state of it.

Edit: oops I thought i had read it was to help crossplay, which hasn’t been working well recently. since its for nothing this is fucking stupid

I'm not the creator of this video, but I wanted to share it because Warfork is an incredibly fun game and more people should be playing it. It's not super populated, but you can usually find a good match. Highly recommend trying it if you enjoy (or want to try) arena shooters!
