Season 15 will also preview the crossbow-wielding hero Freja.

Nothing inside a video game should cost real money.

I could agree that subjectively it isn’t worth real money, but its kinda silly to say games should never charge for anything. Free games need a source of income, and if it doesn’t effect gameplay in game purchases are fine by me.

It’s objectively abusive. Games convince you to value arbitrary worthless rewards - that is what makes them games. Attaching a price tag exploits how humans are bad at distinguishing forms of value. There’s no conversion ratio between soccer goals and hamburgers, no matter how badly you want a few of each.

They plainly fucking can.

If you mean to start insisting payment is somehow optional - shelve it. I am against any excuse for charging any player any money for any thing inside a video game. Getting one free lootbox per game or whateverthefuck does not excuse the millions that cost five actual dollars.

Have you ever played Overwatch? Players have been begging for lootboxes since they were removed. Not because they are gambling addicts but because all i mean every single lootbox was free. It remains free now except 2 that you can get in premium battle pass. It’s very tame compared to any other f2p game.

Make it normal to know context before commenting bs.

It’s clear you never played the game. Idk why you keep coming back. You didn’t have to pay a single dollar to get lootboxes if you played couple hours a week. No one bought them because it was a 40$ game and they were an option to buy.

I get your point. I don’t like spending money on games either. But that’s not the same for most gamers. Look at rivals skin sales or Valorant skins. You can drain thousands of dollars on these games without any lootboxes. People want that. You can’t change it.

Ban the entire business model. It’s an abuse. There’s no form of it that is separable from deceit. Bickering about numbers means nothing.

But here you are bullshitting me about how these lootboxes won’t cost money, when that’s what lootboxes are, and I gotta get raked over these specific coals before I’m allowed an opinion about raking anyone over coals. Fuck off. You can’t sneer your way out of denying the blindingly obvious. I spotted where you were going from the first asinine denial and already fucking told you, ‘you don’t have to pay’ doesn’t change that you can in fact pay, and fuck that.

Fuck any game where you can spend money. It’s a scam. What I like has nothing to do with it. It’s exploitation that’s ruining the entire industry.

Fuck off. Don’t tell others what they want. What an annoying individual.

Project any harder and we could have this conversation on the face of the full moon.

This shit is like gambling - where it’s not literally just gambling. ‘It can’t be wrong if it makes money!’ is amoral libertarian crap. People had this foisted upon them, until the widespread demand to stop fucking doing it could be dulled to background noise. People haaated lootboxes, and yelled about it until they went away - replaced by slightly more lubricated mechanisms for the same abuse. And now they’re just bringing 'em back, because fuck you, what are you gonna do about it?

You can’t even keep these excuses consistent. I know you don’t like paying for this shit, because you said so. So don’t roll your eyes and insist someone somewhere must love it. They all know it’s a shit deal, as surely as you know it’s a shit deal. You’re just bargaining around it and refusing to acknowledge that any amount of this is too much.
