What did you expect? He owns Valve who has the place to buy video games on PC with Steam.
But you’ll be hard pressed to find a store front that is not owned by a billionaire or some publicly traded corporation.

Oh yeah. Just had to uncheck the “show only installed” to see my stuff. Thanks. :D

Yup. It’s basically random which games are installable today.

Currently I can install 6/34 of my games from gog:

It really should be. Shame that they are taking their sweet time with it.

Sure, that will work too. Bit it’s more of a hassle than just logging in and clicking “install”.

Man, I have gotten lazy. :/

Or randomly decides at least half of my games are not available for download.

It’s a shame. I want to buy on gog, but when the exact same game works without a hassle on Steam instead…

Yeeeees. More Selaco content.

Seriously though, it’s great. Y’all should go and play it.

After having watched an older video and some more recent ones, I definitely prefer his more recent, more structured ones. But maybe I just had bad luck with the old one being the Return of the King one.
Felt way too unstructured for my taste. But it was cool that he got Sean Astin for part the video. :D

He does provide a wonderful look into the weird world that is Russian games and their watniks.

Never watched MandalroeGaming to be honest. But maybe I should instead of watching Warlockcracy and Civvie yet again.

Warlockracy videos are always a treat!

Well, it’s from Epic and the little piggy boy in charge of that doesn’t like Linux. So no wonder on that part.

They didn’t add all that many units, two per race. But they did have a great impact on the game (mostly).
Also, new campaigns for each race was awesome. The level editor not only brought many fun custom maps (I still think about that weird 300 map I played when I was 16), but ensured longevity of the game until this day by enabling new maps to be played in regular games.

I miss getting all this stuff with a game or expansion too.

Ego Draconis and Divine Divinity are best Divinities. Fite me!

Got Zero Dawn the other day in the Steam sale. I really should give it a go on the weekend.

Thanks. Didn’t bother to go look for it myself, as it is already well past midnight over here. But I’ll check it out after some sleep.

Also: will this require Origin?

Caved and got the bundle.
I installed Red Alert 2, it doesn’t need Origin. But at least on my Linux install the main menu is just a black screen. :(

I don’t really remember. Maybe Kirby on my aunts Gameboy?

Edit: Should read the whole post instead of just the title. So it’d probably be Bomber Jack. It was on a Gameboy cartridge with other games my dad got me when I was in the hospital as a kid (don’t remember what for).

it feels like an exception when a remaster is generally appreciated.

Don’t think I ever heard something bad about the Starcraft remaster.
The Yakuza Kiwami games are supposedly good too, but I never played them or the originals.
The Resident Evil games are more like remakes, the only bad thing I heard is about 4. But that was from the perspective of challenge runners, apparently some weirdness going on there. But supposedly absolutely fine for casual gaming, but I never played any of these either.

I do too. But I always get behind and have to binge it to get back up to date.

Currently binging Season 14. So I’ll hopefully be up to date around christmas again.

That and they are a Korean company as far as I know.
They sponsor a Starcraft 1 League in Korea at least.

There is AfreecaTV. I don’t think Twitch was a big competitor to them locally in the first place. At least from the little I know about it, so take that with an extra train of salt.

Basically they should have done what they did with the Starcraft remaster. But they fucked it up.

For the tabletop, yes. They anounced late 2019 that they were developing it, it is set to release at the beginning of next year. So January of February. It is very creatively called “Warhammer: The Old World” an set in Warhammers past and a mix of what they liked best throughout the past editions. Here is the article overview on their community page.

Currently they are doing an article every monday taking a glance on the upcomig rules.
You’ll be able to play with your old minis if you still have them. But they anounced earlier in the year that the base size for most minis will change to something bigger. Only thing concrete so far is that apparently every 20mm base will change to a 25mm base. (the basing article it talks a bit about Bretonnian armies before the basing)

Oh absolutely.
On the other hand, we’d probably have had to wait way longer for the games if they included every race from the get-go, if we would have gotten the games at all. But the day 1 DLCs? Yeah, those can go die in a fire.

Oh, and since you seem to be interested in the TT site of the Old World as well, are you reading the current article series on their community page for the new game?

Are there many still around these days? From the top of my head I only know of Vermintide and Total War: Warhammer.
The latter was so good it is bringing back the Old World from GW!

Ugh yeah. Getting the X-Box buttons while playing with a PS controller is so annoying.
In some games like the recent Jedi games from EA you can get the PS prompts by deactivating the Steam input in the options and connecting the controller via USB. But that defeats the purpose of having a bluetooth controller in the first place.

Supposedly. But I was never a fan of the Bethesda Fall Outs, so I’d just never play FO76 in the first place.

Sad as that sounds, I’m sure there are some poor souls who are up for it.

But they don’t most of the time. If you aren’t very lucky like with No Man’s Syk or Cyberpunk, you are stuck with an abandonend pile of garbage. And even with those games, it would have been better for everyone involved if they were what they are now from the start.

No. They could have taken a look at what their competition does and start from there. When I’d want to sell a new phone I sell one that has festures of a common phone these days. What I don’t do is start with a brick of a phone and say “Please buy it, I have to play catch-up.”

Neat. Can’t be too long until release, right? Right?!?

I’m so ready to play the whole thing. It’s sadly over half a year away still, but I’m hyped anyways.

Never played those tbh.

I had Rebel Assault II for the PSX as a kid. Somehow even managed to beat that one.
