I’ve been loving Rematch. It’s so far outside the norm of what I would typically play but I’m having a blast. For me, the controls have taken time to get used to but I think it’s just because I don’t play games like this ever. The more I’ve played (and I’m playing a ton), the better I get. The controls are becoming more natural and I’m starting to develop muscle memory. It’s very satisfying consistently getting better.
For me, switching to 3v3 made a big difference. It forced me to get better because I was handling the ball way more often.
My biggest issues now are teammates never passing and terrible goalkeepers. I’m constantly seeing people leave the box empty and just take the ball downfield. I just hop into the goal every time it happens but it’s annoying seeing this sort of selfish playing. Teams that treat it as a full on cooperative team sport are always more successful. And even if we lose those games, it’s just so much more fun working together.
How did alchemy help with that? I haven’t gotten into alchemy just yet. I felt the same about combat as welll, though, it’s so hard at first but even after only training a little bit, I’m noticing it feeling a lot easier both because I’m getting used to the controls and because Henry is getting stronger. It’s a very satisfying progression. Same with lock picking as well. I hated the system at first but now that I’m getting better, it’s becoming easier and way more fun.
I hope it’s okay to ask, because I am being genuine, but why is using the Epic Games Launcher such a deal breaker for you? I have Steam, Epic, Ubisoft, Xbox, Battle.net and I’m sure more that I’m forgetting and I honestly don’t mind at all. It’s never been an issue for me but I think that I’m in the minority on that so I was curious to hear your thoughts.
It feels like every day there’s a new development that somehow makes the developer look worse than they already did smh
Edit: I will say, drama aside, I do genuinely feel sick to my stomach for the people like yourself who have invested time and money and heartache in this game only for the developers to treat you like this. It’s such a shitty situation.
I’m bad at defining irony but I think it’s ironic that this guy hates game pass but the only reason I’ve played any of his games is that they’re on game pass
