SCI
I looked this up because it’s new to me. AGI is what you think it is, and superintelligent collective intelligence is a collection that can perform tasks. Instead of 1 LLM or 1 AGI doing all the work, you have a team of agents and humans who can talk to each other. AGI seems like far off space tech and SCI is more like a next gen pursuit.
Looks like a good upgrade.
My main interest in these is for watching movies. A review I was just looking at mentioned ‘spatially anchored movies’ using the mixed reality feature.
Like it or not Facebook is probably going to be the main company doing good standalone VR headsets for a while. HP and ByteDance aren’t any better.
I’m replaying it right now on Survivor. Great game but so grim. I can’t do long play sessions because I find it too taxing. It’s extremely polished so you can play it at any difficulty level and it works well.
I’m here now because I want to find another game to play alongside or after that isn’t so heavy.
Sales: 5.22 million standard Nintendo Switches, OLED 7.69 million units, 2 million Switch Lites. unit sales were down -21.3% year-on-year due to the global chip shortage, though the OLED Switch almost doubled its sales figures compared to the previous FY. 2023 - techspot
I have a switch lite. It costs me $140CDN used (as opposed to $250-$300 for an OLED). No complaints. Just wish I could play games like RDR2, Ubisoft on it.
That’s a very short article. Here’s about half of it:
[Game Name Here] contains art assets generated by artificial intelligence that appears to be relying on copyrighted material owned by third parties.
“As the legal ownership of such AI-generated art is unclear, we cannot ship your game while it contains these AI-generated assets, unless you can affirmatively confirm that you own the rights to all of the IP used in the data set that trained the AI to create the assets in your game.”
Kind of sucks though.
“Oh cool what are they thinking of?”
Fuck…
I was thinking that every app would have deeper settings embedded (which seems worse) but I guess the idea here is to bake settings into the OS so only AI can access them. Would this allow for a lot more settings or a lot more nuanced settings?
Gut reaction to AI in 2024 is very bad but I guess a part of me is still curious what they are thinking of doing here.
This is also interesting because like it or not these companies already have a ton of knowledge about you and how you use your device and this may be a way for that data to be served to us in a useful way. I’d prefer they didn’t have the data in the first place.
