Not sure what is the “Xiaomi Community app”.
I unlocked mine Xiaomi using “Mi Unlock” app for Windows.

It worked at the first try, but I needed to download app with newer version than offered on official page.

Next step, installing new ROM via sideload.
I needed to flash low lever firmware with newer version.

Next, a sideload, without problems.

Yeah, bingo.

I hope there are no backdoors in a firmware or modem.

Unlocking bootloader took me few hours.
I must register new account, install Windows application (Linux not supported, but Windows Server evaluation is free and works as a VM),
have valid SIM card with Internet access.

But worth it, much better experience.

Unfortunately, average person won’t do all this things.

Vendor lock-in, I don’t think so.
Maybe on a local market.

Never thought about it, but I think it’s mainly left shift and control key.

Yay, no punishment for the european brands. What they were doing, slept?

I have a 1440p 24 " monitor with 120 DPI setting.
Resolution is much better for fonts - helps with my astigmatism.

The 1440p is a compromise between price and performance.

If you can, go to the electronic shops and see in person.

I have Nokia 3310 from the HMD.
Hardware looks fine, but software is slow and buggy.

More like a collection item than a daily driver.

I’m too sensitive for a trackpad. I hate touchscreens.

Look, early Android phones had a tiny trackballs, some buttons and even physical keyboard.

Who wants a stylus?

👀

I’m tired of the nG bullshit. I can’t get magic hundreds of megabits.

Not even real 5G is deployed (the 5G is falsely advertised) in my country. Licenses for 5G frequencies have been bought by telcos a few months ago.
