Replaceable screen and battery. Actually being able to drop in a new radio would be nice too. I only gave up my op7t because no 5g.

Tablet: TV in my camper van. But it wasn’t expensive. I spent $120 on it new.

Watch: Companion to the phone. Does strava things beyond just riding a bike.

Got so tired of google pay breaking on crdroid that I got a credit card just to use my watch instead.

Still rocking a op7 pro on android 14.

I generally use Gboard, but for terminal sessions unexpected keyboard is great.

Opendkim on sendmail and, uh, DNS records. I used dmarcian for a bit to analyze dmarc but after awhile there’s no point.

Not only do I not use Gmail, but I also run my own mail, calendar, and contacts servers. It’s not for everyone, but I have control of all my stuff going back to 1997.

They are good as cheap portable streaming devices. I bought one that is used as a TV in my camper van. Magnet mounts in the kitchen and bed to easily move it around.

I got tired of gpay breaking every week or so on crdroid. I just got a card that works with my Garmin watch and pay with that now. No more fighting the nonsense.

Alien isolation stressed me out. For fun, run monster bash on an emulator.

Only took android 15 years to get it sort of right. 2009 pre was ahead of its time.

Crdroid works well on my op7 pro. Android 14.

I’m not even rooted and gpay keeps breaking on crdroid for me, despite passing safetynet. I’ve given up and just got another credit card that I can use with my garmin watch that works every time without the hassle.

Dunno. I’m still rocking a OnePlus 7 pro with crdroid 10.2 (Android 14). Nice rom, no nonsense.

Despite now being owned by a marketing company, I always come back to nova.

Let’s skip the AI and give thunderbird some love instead. Then again, it’s pretty feature complete as is. Just keep it up to date to keep running and secure.

I’ll do that next time I’m out. I also removed updates.

Android Auto won’t connect with screen off
I don't know if this is an android auto problem, or an android 14 (crdroid 10) problem. Wired usb connection. Have tried different cables with same effect. I did not have this problem before (Android 13). My phone has AA 10.9.634644. If the phone is locked when connecting to the car, I get a connect/disconnect loop. This continues until I unlock the phone, and then things are fine after a few seconds, and I can then lock the phone again. If I connect to the car with the phone unlocked until AA connects, and then lock the phone, everything is fine. I have android auto configured to connect with the phone locked, and have disabled USB debugging.

Android 14 has finally made using my Pebble with the phone a bad option. I’m happy with the Garmin that I replaced it with.

I don’t obsess over it. Charge at 20% remove when full. Phone will last over a day still. It’s 4 years old now.
