Wow. MVG should make a video on this one. Reminds me of the madness of getting Resident Evil 2 with its 15+ minutes of FMV cajoled onto a 64 MB N64 cartridge.

Dragons Lair onto GBC is pretty insane. I’m sure they went the same way of the Amiga port, if not just straight ripping out the graphics of that one.

Nice… But it doesn’t allow data sharing (to Gadgetbridge, for example). So it’s a no go for me, thanks!

I also use breezy, but i choose fdroid builds whenever possible. I appreciate the extra code monitoring/verification.

Since i bought my ink tank Brother over a year ago, i still haven’t had to refill it. For my previous Canon Pixma it would have been at least 2-3 cartridges. I mean i don’t print a lot, but I’m amazed at how much I’ve been printing with this thing.

Once it runs out, actually Brother original ink doesn’t come that much pricier than unbranded, but I’ll see my choices.

Is there some list of recommendations or biggest discounts while having highest ratings?

Extremely unlikely due to Kamal’s actor rapey attitudes forcing his own on-screen death (and firing). I’m not complaining with the attempt at closing the main plots where they did, given the cards they were given. I’m happy they tried to give it a decent ending and closure.

I didn’t find the final books so amazing compared to the rest of the series.

Are Steam review scores paid? Because it sure sits on “overwhelmingly positive” right now.

All the characters were super stiff and kinda cheaply animated on facial expressions on the first one, and it’s clear they invested heavy to fix that on the follow up, where all characters are way better at conveying emotions.

Well… I did. And i can still say that first Steam app was a steaming pile of crap.

Remedy Entertainment. They have been making banger after banger in my opinion, all the way back to Max Payne (and i wasted so many hours on Death Rally). Always heavy focus on plot, and well developed gameplay. Memorable soundtracks on most cases too.

Follow-up question… Is there a good guide to setup with voip.ms? Or a good SIP provider for Europe/Asia?

Clearly looked like Mr Door was meant to be Lance Reddick, IMHO… Sadly we lost him :(

Thanks…I don’t think I’d trust the app that knows every moment what I’m doing with my phone to be closed source.

You’d be equally impressed to know how much of every single click and tap and app launched and app hovered over Microsoft tracks. Would make Nova tracking selling feel… Benign. They track their operations from the calculator app, FFS.

Where can i find it? Doesn’t look to be on fdroid.

Wow, never heard of this one, and it sounds so much better! I’m going to test it around, thanks so much!

Thanks for the digging! I actually saw that comment and edited those files back in the day, to no visible (audible?) difference. So at least for me, running GrapheneOS, it didn’t work.

FOSS Text To Speech engines?
Hi guys! I'm trying to see if there's alternatives in TTS for the (admittedly) great one Google provides. I'm using Graphene, and so that's not an option I'd like to go around. Alternatively on the FOSS field, I believe have RHVoice, which I have installed, and eSpeak, which was last updated in 2022 and is not compatible with my Pixel 7 64bit-only phone. So...RHVoice has the problem of having their voices a bit robotic, but more probrematic is that they're VERY muted. On max volume, they're not all that loud, and I ride a motorbike. They're pretty useless, most of the times I can't hear the directions on my headset. Do you guys know any alternative TTS engine I could be using? I've heard the demo sample from the aiyu-ayaan tts-engine and it sounded great, but no idea how can I compile/install it as an Android TTS engine available for other apps to use, just like RHVoice. Alternatively, are there any other apps/engines you'd recommend? Thank you!

So…Thanks for the comments. In the end, deleting and re-creating the work profile worked, and the account is now Play Protect Certified again. Not sure what the problem was.

Galaxy S8 with work profile. Normal profile shows Play Protect certified, but work profile not?
So...yeah. Just this issue. My ancient trusty S8, which has been with me for quite a few years, is my BYOD work phone. It has been for a while, too. But seems now it's not compliant with the company policies. After some checking, it seems the Play Store is reporting (settings - about) not to be Play Protect certified. But the normal profile is certified! WTF happened, and how can I fix this?

Thank you for trying… I also did 😅 At least it seems to be the only FOSS option so far.

Yes, but i wanted a widget on my home screen that i could quickly check at a glance.

Thanks a lot, just what I needed! I’d like to rearrange the air quality to show first, but i guess this still works fine. Thank you!

FOSS air quality app/widget?
Hi guys! Just that...is there any FOSS app I could use to get the air pollution (AQI level) or similar for my area? Thanks!

I never managed to get MS “company portal” to successfully create a work profile. I had to give up in the end.

So far I’m into story-driven games, and I’m loving it.

This made Naughty Dog the pioneers of the streaming levels, I guess.

“it’s just light” might be the understatement of the century, lol. What makes a big lot of the differences of how a game looks and CGI in a movie looks is how light is being calculated in the scene.

Yeah but even dumb people when annoyed enough will listen to alternatives. Specially when this one is so damn easy. It’s not like editing config files or changing partitions, it’s just using another damn browser.

Not the same level of insulation. Also, only one single shadow profile is available. And also, if you try to use a work profile, it will either destroy your island or fail to install. Graphene is miles ahead on this with simultaneous multi user.

Even their keyboard wants to connect online and access to your contacts. Kinda creepy. If you get Samsung there’s a ton of stuff you need to disable privacy-wise. But yeah their hardware is amazing.

Full independent user profiles. You can set as many as needed, for different sets of apps. But the “work profile” functionality doesn’t always work (it fails to set up in my case).

I wish there was a repo where i could just get it to automatically check for updates :(

Sigh… Seems there’s no pkg for it anytime soon.

Seems the reviews are crushing it on Steam. Seems to have The Order - 1886 playability levels.

RDR1 - Where to play best? Switch, PS4…or Steam Deck?
Hi guys! So I happen to still own all these three devices, and I just saw RDR1 just dropped on the first two. Which device would you advice to play it on? Is it looking any better on PS4? Is it playing decently on the Deck yet? What's your advice on this? Thanks!
