When I was growing up the only distraction in class what the wall clock. I remember watching the seconds hand go slowly around, 60 times and then the bell at least, and then we’d do this 3 more times and finally it was lunch time, we ate gelatinous meat like protein paste with mashed potatoes and go back to class and I’d watch the seconds hand go around 240 more times before we had the hour and a half bus ride home.
I never did homeworks but still passed. We didn’t have anything to do and I didn’t want to do much of anything anyway. I’d watch TV, it was almost always stuff I’d seen before, cartoon slop and obvious lies and half-truth on the news program.
At some point I would finally become unconscious in bed, then wake up too early and do it all again. This lasted about 12 years and then I had to find a job and then things took a turn for the worse because I couldn’t just watch the wall clock anymore. At least if I wanted to eat I couldn’t.
According to this article

This card consists of two processors with a bandwidth of 204GB/s each
Compare that with the RTX 3090 which has 936GB/s bandwidth,
It really negates the extra memory capacity that will heavily bottleneck the processors.
I mean, sure you can make a scene and ruin an event, maybe even turn the whole crowd to your side but what I’m a talking about in at the large social scale, we’re all mostly ballasted between the endless distraction and the demands of work and life on our attention. Now add into this mix something analyzing sentiment , tweaking relatively small things in the media landscape and dissipating anything that might become a coherent, organized, aligned movement.
I feel like we’re in some kind of quicksand or molasses, oh no, it might be “nothingeverhappenism”
If there is no one willing to step up and protect the interest and wellbeing of common people, it means democracy is dead and it can’t be denied anymore. If there’s going to be no effort made to force the hand of device manufacturer and carriers to provide a privacy respecting full featured smartphone at the regular price of any other phone while also constructing a society that demands everyone to have one. Then it must mean that society intends to spy on everyone in a way that would make Big Brother blush.
I don’t see any solution other than “a vigorous nuclear exchange” as the last hope we have for a reset button before our feat is sealed as human cattle of the oligarchy. And yes, this is far from the only sign that this is happening, it’s just the one undeniable smartphone aspect of this upcoming horror.
No amount of genetic is going to help make learning of useless things and doing obvious time filler activities fun or interesting
