I’ve been using that one, but it’s awful for adding text.

I’m a bit dubious about installing an app from there without being able to access the source code. It seems that it’s no longer available because it’s just so old. I suspect it would have problems on my phone due to that

Thanks.

I did try to check out Krita already, but it says it’s not available for my device.

I just checked out Drawpile, and it does not render correctly on my phone. The edges are cut off and the controls/buttons are tiny af. It was just released 3 weeks ago in beta, so it’s just not ready for use yet.

App Suggestion Request: Image Editor for adding text
I'm looking for an app, that does not have ads or in-app purchase kind of stuff, that has a robust feature to add text over an image. I want to be able to customize the text's font face, size, style (bold, italic, underline, etc), color, outline, and background. Even better would be if it allows me to start by pasting an image from clipboard, and more so if I can copy the image back to clipboard after edits. Ideally, something that is FOSS, but I wouldn't mind paying for an app if it's good and doesn't have a bunch of needless tracking. Thanks y'all!

Yeah. This is tempting me to set up an android dev environment myself. Never done any android dev besides React Native.

Update on this: I’ve since been trying out Lawnchair. It’s pretty good. Definitely something I would suggest to someone to try out for themselves.

Isn’t the icons an aspect of the launcher?

I have not used it yet, but everyone seems to choose Lawnchair for their FOSS launcher.

In the media select window I see the ability to select from other apps:

I do have to get there by selecting “browse” from the three dots menu

I am trying to avoid saving the image and only use the clipboard.

Imgur was only an example. I don’t want to use imgur’s app and there are other websites or apps that I would like to upload to that do not work in that way.

I just want to be able to select an image from my clipboard when an app wants me to select an image from my phone.

I’m not trying to share the image, I’m trying to upload the image.

You mean sharing a link to the URL?

Media Picker - Choose image from clipboard
I'm trying to figure out how I can choose an image in my clipboard when the media picker window comes up. For example, if I'm on imgur.com and I want to upload an image in my clipboard, there is no option for me to *paste* into the input field. Ideally, I would like to have something available in the media picker to paste from clipboard. That would allow using clipboard for any app. I kinda consider this something like adding the clipboard to the "share" menu. https://github.com/tengusw/share_to_clipboard Is there anything like this? I do not have root access on my phone.

Where’s the official announcement?

Edit: Any other article I can find references this DSO one. Maybe this is the best we’ll get.

The problem is as prevalent and pervasive as the gaming community as a whole, which is most definitely monolithic.

I’m glad you’ve found the one place where dictatorial moderation and misuse of mod powers is okay, because you only saw it happen to one person. I’m not sure why you think you have some sort of gotcha point there.

The mastodon screenshot is all that is needed to prove that this guy was unfit from the start.

People like this should not receive benefits from the platform they tried to abuse. A simple copy paste of the evidence and information whenever it pops up in my feed is barely any effort.

Besides the fact I think that linking to the primary source of information is already more important than linking to someone’s post about it.

FYI - the owner of this site, gamingonlinux, was a mod on the [email protected] community until they were caught abusing their moderator powers. Then they deleted their account and complained on mastodon that it’s stupid design that mod logs are public. [Screenshot]

Instead, here’s a link to the official post https://steamcommunity.com/groups/steamworks/announcements/detail/4547038620960934857

I remade this meme because I could not find a decent quality copy.

The title of this article makes it seem like there’s going to be some somewhat racist undertones or something like that, but that doesn’t seem to be the case as far as I can tell. It just looks like it will be exploring some old Chinese stories, and I don’t know if anyone from “the west” that would have a problem with that.

I wish this was true, but that’s not the reality. If things are not exactly the same, people lose any common sense they may have had.

Instead, here is a direct link to the website, which has a fantastic domain:

Regardless of who the abuse was against, any mod abuse should not be acceptable. People should see consequences for their actions and not benefit from the community they were abusing, particularly when it’s financial benefits.

And the bundle fest:

I don’t know anything about what you’re mentioning. They just deleted some messages and put “annoying” as the reason and when they were called out for it they deleted their account on lemmy.ml

This site should be avoided. The owner got caught abusing their mod powers on lemmy because they didn’t know the mod log was public. So they deleted their account.

Would it be more appropriate to wait until the last day to comment?

Some kid beat him in Fortnite and now he wants his own console system to ban the kid from (and probably track them down)
