Probably not as many as you’d think. Switch nails PS3 games usually.

I’ve been emulating an app in my laptop using WSA and it definitely kicks the cpu into gear

Yeah the hardest thing is finding them! You open the store and it gives you almost no information as to whether the games decent or a cash in. The review system seems rigged.

I played the first game about 2 months ago and loved it.

Absolutely hate any game that’s long for the sake of being long. Take AC Valhalla. Halve that game, turn it into a less open/less grindy game, a narrative mode if you will. It would be soo much better. I don’t want to spend hours hacking the same enemy, riding the same horse or travelling. So boring.

There are soooo many games to play, I don’t want to be wasting my time. Insert Hogwarts, God of War, RDR2 etc

Time Extension,

Great suggestion thanks!! Hopefully this thread will fill up with some great or even obscure resources.

Another option i’ve been trialing is trying to get feeds from websites, but only part of their websites. For example of nintendolife, trying to only read pages under “features”.

Gaming article websites that aren’t just news?
I'm re-doing my RSS feeds and noticed all the gaming sites are just regurgitating the same stuff in clickable news links. I was wondering if anyone follows any sites that cover gaming from a different angle? Whether it's thoughtfull discussion about game mechanics, the future of games etc or whether it's investigative journalism? Thanks :)

Looks good. Will wait til it’s cheaper and whizz through it

Since having a kid and having less spare time. I can’t stand games that are full of filler content or grinding.

Why can’t assassin’s creed or Hogwarts legacy have a streamlined story mode with all the crap removed.

Mostly been playing 2-5 hour indie or smaller games lately so I can feel accomplished. Little nightmares being a new favourite

I did not know that! Cheers

I believe the fdroid version is more feature rich.

Here’s a list of my useful ones that I didn’t see used in this thread.

  • Seal - this is a YouTube downloader. I love this for extracting audio from videos to listen as a podcast, quick and easy.
  • URLCheck - this when set as a default browser will intercept links to remove trackers, check them against known phishing links, redirect links etc etc. Probably my favourite app!
  • Transistor - radio app, just simple and works can’t beat it.
  • Birday - birthday manager so you can check and see who’s birthdays are coming up.
  • Tasks.org - I love this task manager, took a bit of setting up how I like but it works great. Ticktick became really bloated and sluggish so I switched.

Mine completely stopped working out of the blue and can’t get it back working either.
