I think it’s very mature of him to know how he works best, and not to try and compromise on that.

Can’t wait to see Haunted Chocolatier.

I’m not a spoiler person but look up the order you should visit the glyphs if you want maximum impact.

Oh my God I want it so bad.

I never owned my own copy of Wind Waker. I borrowed it when I was a kid from a friend and then later I played the Wii-U version from a different friend. Now that I’m like, an adult (more or less) with my own console, I want a copy for myself. And also I want to play it again. Man! Love that game!

I’ve been curious about trying XV for a while, but your comments could’ve been written by me, and now I know I need to try XV. Thank you!

(Special shout-out to that dude who defended XIII by saying the sequel makes it worth it. I’m still mad over that argument. If I hated the first game, why should I pay money for a chance to like it’s sequel?)

I dunno if you could say that shareholders incentivized the sexual misconduct.

You and I have had very different experiences with LSD.

I read “EverQuest” and my brain commented, “You mean EverCrack,” immediately.

My cousin was horrifically addicted. Luckily for me, my opinion on subscribing to a game was, "no matter how good a game is, I’m not paying for it over and over, " even in middle school, so he couldn’t convince me to try it.

gaming guides

I would like to remind the assorted that the official final fantasy 9 guidebook left out massive chunks of useful information to encourage you to go online to their website.

It was a dark time.

I figure they’re those “early adopters” who buy the New Thing! as soon as it comes out, whether they need it or not, whether it’s garbage or not, because they want to be seen as on the cutting edge of technology.

I play this on my android phone. It’s free, ad-free, and you can pay to support.

The updates have been awesome. It’s extremely difficult, and it’s not unusual to die a buncha times before your first success.

Just to add support to your point, it’s literally in The Official Stardew Valley Cookbook that the inspiration comes from Harvest Moon. He’s not at all claiming to have invented anything. ConcernedApe is a humble treasure.

(I just finished reading the cookbook is why I pulled that information from there. I’m sure there’s lots of other places where he said that.)

Slashdot was founded 26 years ago. I’m almost 40, so when I say this, I mean it-

Don’t condescend to young people about being children. You’re just old now. Embrace it. Explain things nicely or be one of those old people we hated when we were young.

I’ve played them all over the years. My favorite for a long time was Wind Waker, because of the feeling of freedom it gave me, so it’ll surprise no one that Breath of the Wild beats it.

Breath of the Wild is my new fave. I gotta say that the story of Tears of the Kingdom really did it for me (just absolutely sobbing at points) but since it feels like it wouldn’t have had that impact if it wasn’t for Breath of the Wild, I give it to Breath of the Wild.

(Special shout out to Link Between Worlds. Really feel like that game was fun as hell.)

Edit: Gotta be real. I don’t remember which one I played first? I think it was Link to the Past.

The cart said Final Fantasy 2. We now know it as Final Fantasy 4.

My father had my playing it and reading all the text out loud. I played that game over and over and over. I have all the hidden paths and treasures memorized.

The opening scrawl ended in something about Cecil and Kain vanishing “into a deep fog.” For years and years I thought it said they vanished “into a deep frog.” Let me tell you… the hours I spent lying awake at night wondering what that meant…

And of course my Dad didn’t correct me.

What an insanely good game, and a blast from the past. Thank you for reminding me of it!
