I forgot to mention how does it helps…

Those kind of apps (banking too) do usually work on different profile, from experience.

E: rewording

You could use Shelter for secondary ‘profile’ (user).

The first user (owner) is probably 0, and the second one be 10, and additional users after 10 would be 10+x (11, 12, 13…).

You can also use FreeTube for Android, or Grayjay.

Both of them weren’t affected by the latest YouTube change.

It broke on ver. 0.27.0; it should be fixed on ver. 0.27.1.

The thing that makes me laugh/cry/be happy I switched to Linux, is that it’s in that state, but it’s a paid product.

If the license was free it was somewhat okay, but it’s not. People are still paying.

Looks like you technically can, but it’s not really worth it.

TL;DW: it isn’t really usable.

OP would lose their data while unlocking the bootloader.

If you care about privacy, Pixel. Install on it GrapheneOS.

If not, I’d say I still prefer the cleaner UI and overall feel of the Pixel.

They can’t. People really abused the option. If you read their posts, they sound like they endured it for a really long time, and were forced to disable it.

That’s why we can’t have nice things :/

Make it a server/put LineageOS on it.

If you have root access, instead of Titanium, you can use instead oandbackup.

It’s free and open-source.

FairMail is great, and gets updates frequently.

Sorry for my boring answer. Never really thought about it until now. It’d probably be oandbackup.

It allows me to make my phone fully operational, customized to my liking. Including replacing the stock ROM with a custom one, rooting, and installing my favorite apps *with their settings*, in less then 15 minutes.

The hardware is pretty good. Not a fan of Exynos tho.

The software feels really bloated. I usually have LineageOS on it instead. Compared to One UI, the Pixel-like UI feels very clean, and the OS feels very lightweight.

If it was impossible to have something less-bloated, I’d probably switch phone to a cleaner Android.

I forgot to mention that *both of them* are open-source.

Material Files is fantastic.

FOSS (free and open-source), and supports root, if you need it.

Amaze is amazing (I’m sorry, it was stronger than me) too.

I know it’s going to sound funny, but I, personally, *want* it to be annoying. If it’s comfortable, I might do it way more.

Not exactly a solution to your problem, but it works.

For links, you can use UntrackMe, then switch between the accounts. UntrackMe real purpose is to redirect you to websites’ FOSS frontends (YouTube to Invidious, Reddit to Teddit, Twitter to Nitter, etc.).

There is probably better app for this, if you don’t like the redirects. But if you’re going the way of Shelter/Insular, it’s a good practice.

For files, if you have rooted phone, you can use Material Files.

If not, you can move files with Files by Google.

That’s a great idea, thanks!

@[email protected], I’ll be happy to help with testing too.

Same. It was the best Reddit app IMO.

I kept using it, until last week ^^"

Thanks you, that’s great :)

Do you mean F-droid repo?

As for suggestion, I noticed that you can’t really add a custom Lemmy instance.

Any idea if there’s a chance that the app will be open-source?
