I got this game around the time it came out and I remembered dropping it, but not why. Reading your post now makes me think Blockhead was the reason why haha. I should get back around to this and perhaps skip this fight

DOOM (2016). I originally got it when it came out, I wasn’t very patient then, but largely played multiplayer. I’ve been playing the campaign this time around and I’m enjoying it quite a bit.

!themusicman out here doing the Lord’s work. I would love an invite as well!

I’ve been playing Metroid Prime 3 and largely enjoying it. The most recent boss fight was incredibly fun and refreshing, easily the best in the game and high in the rankings for best boss fight period.

I don’t think it’s so much a concern about violating the ToS as it is the consequences of violating it. Valve may be able to lock the account or close it if they have good reason to suspect the account has a new owner. An example of solid evidence of this may be changing the payment method for purchases, such that the name on a credit card doesn’t match the previous cardholder name on the steam account.

But if the new owner doesn’t plan on making new purchases on the account, it would probably be more difficult to confirm the account was transferred.

Here are a few I didn’t see already. I’ve played these all on switch.

Untitled Goose Game - casual and goofy 1/2 player puzzle game

Far Lone Sails - casual 1 player puzzle adventure game

Figment - light action adventure platformer one player game

There it is! I was looking for this one

Oof, that’s rough. Is that the one known as Bully elsewhere? What hasn’t been to your liking?

Never heard of nobara, is it supposed to do Linux gaming well?

Oh damn, maybe that isn’t my kind of game then 😅 I don’t mind a few calculations here and there while gaming but idk if I would find it fun to go full blown engineer to play a video game. I’ll still probably give it a go if it’s on sale though

That’s rough. Honestly online play would be a selling point for me. I’ve played enough of THPS that a reskin and new soundtrack isn’t super enticing to me

Gotcha, that’s about what I’ve heard from others too. I’m glad they continued to work on it and make it the game that they originally envisioned. I’m looking forward to playing it eventually haha

Oh there’s more DQ remakes? I’ll have to check them out!

I’ve been considering Linux gaming lately. How does borderlands 2 run for you?

Really? That’s disappointing considering it came out recently. What are you playing it on?

Another backlog game I would like to get to soon. Did you play it on release at all?

I’m playing it on Nintendo DS!

Such a classic! If my backlog wasn’t so large I would have returned to it by now

Sweet. I forgot about Kerbal Space Program but it looks like a ton of fun!

Forza Horizon 3 has been in my backlog for a long time, been meaning to check out the series.

This sounds interesting. How does coop parkour work?

I still haven’t gotten into the Souls games yet. I think I just can’t handle that level of punishment from video games

I’m still playing Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen. I’m enjoying the game more now. I thought I had finished chapter 2 but it turns out there was a lot more to do! I find the characters more interesting to play now that they’re higher levels and have more spells and gear. The story is developing more too and it’s looking good.

I’ve been playing Valheim with a buddy as well and it’s been a blast. Combat and exploring the open world are great fun. I could easily let myself get lost in this game until dawn if I wanted.

What are you playing this week?
Hey folks, just checking in to see what everyone is playing this week! Did you find a hidden gem or are you jamming on a classic? Let us know what you're playing and what you think of it.

Java Minecraft will always hold a place in my heart. I picked up Valheim recently and found it scratches a very similar itch, but it’s different enough to not feel like a clone at all

If I ever get back around to it I’d like to make a melee character. Seems like that would really up the challenge while fighting dragons

This one scares me for sure haha

This is another one I’ve been meaning to play but I haven’t had the energy to start it and really enjoy it

Nice! How do you like No Man’s Sky? I’ve heard it’s much better now than when it was released

I’ve been meaning to play the campaign for awhile. The online gameplay didn’t particularly appeal to me, though I haven’t even tried it

Damn, that’s a lot of adventuring! How’s Tunic? I’ve never heard of it

A classic. I never was very good at it but I always enjoyed it

Excellent choice! I wish I could experience FNV for the first time all over again, it’s so good. Got any idea which factions you want to align with?

That sounds like fun and good way to chill after a long day.

I haven’t heard of Office Jerk, what’s that about?

I’ve been playing Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen for the first time. This is my first experience with the Dragon Quest series, and my way of dipping my toes into JRPGs. I’ve completed the first two chapters and I’m enjoying it so far. It’s pretty straight forward gameplay and doesn’t require much thinking. The story isn’t exactly riveting yet. The translation is a bit rough, but that makes it kind of humorous. Thankfully it’s still easy to follow what the characters are saying. I’m not seeing much replay value in this one though.

What are you playing this week?
Hey folks, what is everyone playing this week? Are you trying something new or returning to a previously played game or genre? How are you liking what you're currently playing?

I’m really enjoying Valheim lately. It’s similar to Minecraft in a lot of ways, but leans a little more into RPG elements with leveled skills. There’s a bit more of a story, heavier focus on combat, and NPCs to interact with (though I haven’t reached that point myself).

Figment. I’m not sure how much attention this one got, but I hadn’t heard about it until I was searching the Nintendo store for deals. It’s a short puzzle/action game with a good story that felt compelling.
