Even their old flagships are still quite good. I’m currently daily driving two 7 years old Mi6 phones with Lineage, because you just can’t find a small phone nowadays.

Yes, and they’ve made some profit-driven decisions, such as pocket integration, but never on the level of what google does.

That’s why I’ve said they are far from perfect (but the best we have).

iirc the firefox javacript interpreter is much slower than chrome’s. I guess the lag is most noticable in JavaScript heavy sites?

Yep. I was very young at the time but what I remember is firefox being spoken of as kind of a “hack” to make everything web-based faster compared to IE.

Then chrome came out and firefox was completely replaced. It felt like an instant change. Anyone that knew anything about computers was using chrome.

I think that chrome is still living off its glorious past.

While Mozilla is far from perfect, I think they’ve managed to avoid getting shitty for almost 20 years.

Got into the franchise with NV and it is still one of my favorites. Played 1, 2 and 3 while waiting for 4. It turned out to be one massive disappointment. I don’t think I even played half of it.

On the other hand, at the time I found my fix in Wasteland 2.

Borderlands 2 is an absolute masterpiece. The humor was adorably cheesy, the characters were much more interesting that OG and Pre-Sequel imo (totally in love with zer0).

I should probably install it and find some friends to play with.

I don’t agree that the vast majority of the people left there are bootlickers.

Most of the people left there seem to be uninterested in technology from the arts and crafts related subs and that’s what’s really missing in Lemmy/kbin.

There is no /c/woodwoking, /c/printmaking or /c/embroidery and the people that usually visit these don’t really care about the underlying tech. Most of the time they just want to share their crafts with their community and things to just work.
