I love that it’s already been added to Valve Time.
You do realize he can charge absolutely any price he wants for a product he created right? He doesn’t have to even offer an ad-supported version, but he’s decided to give the user the choice. If someone wants to use his app for free, they can. And if they don’t agree with his model, they can just not use the app. It’s really not a predatory practice.
I mean, yeah, obviously the dev would rather people pay the subscription when some of the Ultra features require server work and/or continued costs (translation, OCR, etc.).
Developing Sync is his full time job, which is why it initially shipped without a lifetime tier. People voiced their opinion and the dev listened by adding the lifetime option and the ad free option. If you don’t like the pricing, use a different app. Nobody is forcing you to use Sync. LJ doesn’t owe you the app for free (or any price outside of what he feels is fair).
I’ve been interested in getting a foldable for a long time but I’ve yet to pull the trigger.
Would you mind expanding on how the Pixel Fold and Galaxy Fold3 compare? I had a Pixel 2XL and then switched to a Note20 Ultra when the Pixel started showing its age, and I struggle to see myself going back simply due to OneUI and my SPen. But the Pixel Fold has definitely had me intrigued about going back, I’m just not sure how the Pixel OS compares nowadays, especially with Google’s track-record of not really supporting their own products.
I’m always surprised to see people claim oneUI is awful. TouchWiz was absolutely awful but imo oneUI is one of the few android skins that actually improve the experience significantly.
My only complaint is that some settings enable ads in various parts of the interface (but they can be disabled so it’s not a dealbreaker) and that they absolutely ruined Game Launcher. That being said the beta Google Play Games launcher is very good and has basically replaced Game Launcher for me.
Board Game Arena would be my recommendation. Amazing platform that keeps adding games (typically a new game is added every Wednesday). You can play real-time or turn-based, I almost exclusively play turn-based these days since it allows me to check the website whenever I have a few minutes of free time and play through my turns.
Huge fan of Bitwarden as well.
I love that you can assign a shortcut for autofill. I found the automatic autofill a bit too trigger happy and the shortcut solves that since it’ll only autofill when I know there’s actually a username/password box on the page. It also works perfectly with websites that ask for the username and password at seperate times (google, Microsoft, etc).
Cannot wait for this, I wishlisted it immediately when I first saw a post about it over the weekend.
