That’s…not true. I do have a fast card so I played with it on, but there were options to disable ray tracing and path tracing.

It is…if you render the lighting at like 64x64 pixels and then “deep learning super scale” it to 4k and then AI generate 3 fakesuper-sampled frames for every real frame.

(I’m sorry, I should have specified my sarcasm) It’s a thing the creator of Death Stranding made up to troll journalists who kept asking him what type of game he made.

I…don’t know what an extraction shooter is. Until I’m corrected I will assume everyone is a dentist trying to collect teeth from their opponents.

It’s a 20 year old game going into abandonware mode. This is the nicest way for them to do that.

Also if you prefer a more thorough listing, check out the “Detected Technologies” section of SteamDB. I just chose a random game as an example of something with just Steam drm. https://steamdb.info/app/2062430/info/

There is a DRM section on the sidebar of the steam store page that tells you.

Ratchet and Clank is the best, and the story is best experienced in order but the first game is a bit clunky so starting on the second game isn’t the worst idea. I personally started with Up Your Arsenal! then got hooked on the series and backfilled.

I had forgotten about this franchise after they killed it. Is it still free to play bullshit with always-online DRM?

Once a server goes down they have to deal with the “thundering herd problem”. When you fail to get the game you keep retrying, which generates even more requests than the initial number that made the server go down in the first place.

Unless someone brings it up during their next golf game, the executive class will literally never hear about this game.

This is one of those times where it’s entirely justified. Our local government (USA) is saying one thing about foreign lands, but reality is observably different. There’s no way to accomplish this kind of journalism without traveling to the place the administration is lying about.

I agree with everything you said, but I want you to be aware that the term “Jap” has some extremely negative/slur connotations that I don’t think you intended related to US concentration camps during WW2. It’s not just an abbreviation.

It’s a consistent pattern of behavior from that person, which is why one thread might seem like people are overbearing. At some point you get sick of the disingenuous faux-intellectual “just asking questions”.

Press and hold on any user and you can add a tag. It is incredibly useful for a myriad of reasons. I started implementing a system for sharing/community tags but I didn’t like the implications of having a parallel voting system to the existing one and scrapped it.

Edit: the best part of the feature is that it can link you to why you created the tag. In this case the user in question argued that supporting women’s rights is the same thing as Islamophobia.

The wild runaway success of Gmail proves that federation as a concept is currently not understood by the masses. I have lots of faith but little hope that more learning will be done on a large scale.

Lmao thanks for the heads-up, past me.

Edit: this user thinks that equal rights for women are Islamophobic.

You need to have clear, firm evidence before you can make a claim.

— You, 5 minutes ago

It’s not like you have anything else going for you in life.

— You again

Holy crap I have no original thoughts.

Because change.org will keep relentlessly spamming you and selling your info for years and years and years regardless of opt-outs.

Counterpoint: the janky-ass Pokémon games that suck and still print money.

Name one change.org petition that accomplished anything except giving change.org a valuable email list to spam and sell.

Christianity is inherently anti-feminist. It’s right there in the book they bash so much.

Uhhhhh…you need to read a history book. Like literally any history book would help you.
