Just one. Playing two at once would be tricky, I’d need like a second computer or something. And switching back and fourth between keyboards really quickly would probably lead to lots of deaths.

This is c/patientgamers, so I assume that first reason wouldn’t bother most of us here. I’m curious about the spyware assertion though. Were they caught doing something shady?

Abiotic Factor. An absolutely amazing survival crafter. From someone who was sick and tired of survival crafters.

That’s why I only buy games on discount. That way I only have to play the inverse percent of what I paid.

Yeah, I actually agree. This is better for my wallet and mental health. But it was fun to get excited about these deals

I kind of miss the days where specific games were only on sale for one day. There’s no excitement anymore.

Oh yay, I can get these games for the same price they’ve dropped to almost every month this year.

  • Beastieball
  • Abiotic Factor
  • Satisfactory

Or Quantum Break which intersperses gameplay with ~30 min live action cut scenes. I kind of liked it. It was like a nice little break after an intense segment.

Bluesky has 20x the user base (and the gap is growing wider every day).

Think of it like your house. You can ask people to leave if they say something you find offensive. That is not infringing on their free speech.

If the owner of a shopping mall wants to ban the word banana, they can ask anyone who says it to leave. That is also not infringing on their free speech. That’s because shopping malls are not owned and operated by the government.

It’s just like all the steaming services. They’ll look the other way for a time, but then crack down whenever it makes the most financial sense.

My tip is: Beacons, beacons everywhere </Buzz meme>

I’m debating getting this on mobile or steam deck, is it largely the same experience?

Smart studios will keep their writers for the main NPCs and use AI for the random filler NPCs that wander around cities and the like. We’ll see how many studios are smart I guess.

Percentage wise, I’m sure support is very high. But for a petition like this, I’d be shocked if even 0.01% percent of people have even heard of it.

Personally, I support the petition (obviously) and wish it could have succeeded. But even I think that in the grand scheme of all the problems in the world, this is very far down my wishlist.

Funny you compared the atmosphere to Night in the Woods, the same sound designer did both games.

Rabbit and Steel - Cross between a bullet hell and roguelite with raid style gameplay. Requires very close co-ordination with your team to survive (up to 4 player co-op). Punishing but rewarding.

To be fair, I also put most of the hot dogs I buy across the street in the fridge too.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance - $8.29 CAD (80% off)

Probably my favourite ARPG. You play as a peasant with no skill, and that actually translates in game. If you’ve ever rolled your eyes at games where you effortless smash waves upon waves of enemies, this game is for you. Beating even the lowliest grunt can be quite challenging, forcing you to play in ways other than “beat everything up”.

The neat thing is the story is not only based on real life events, but all the towns exist (still to this day in the Czech Republic), the geography is super accurate (relative distnace, rivers, ridges, etc) and even the buildings are modelled off the real things (some are still standing, or you can still see their ruins).

This game ticked so many boxes for me, and is a steal at $8

I get the principled reason to do this. But most people aren’t set up to pirate. And even if they were, it’s inconvenient to have games not attached to their steam library. I don’t think anyone should deprive themselves of this masterpiece.

If the prospect of pirating is holding you back, just buy it. The game is too good to miss out

Yeah exactly. I’m calling BS that the thrill of the chase is the main motivator. Maybe it is for a handful, but for the most part people just like to be dickheads.

Then why not prove you can do it and then shut the bot down?

Somehow it’s steam deck verified but opening the virtual keyboard to input character name reliably crashes. Can’t even get past the intro.

In FTL you unlock new ships and variations. In Into the Breach you unlock new mech classes and get to keep a pilot and all the experience they gained.

Fwiw I do agree that FTL in particular is more of a true roguelike.

(To be fair the first one was a memorable experience… Hopefully this follows suit)

I wish there were more short triple A titles. Like 10 hours main quest and 30 hours to 100%. Put those massive resources into quality rather than quantity. Give me a memorable experience over a slog.

I just enabled it and in my library at least it’s only games that I purchased on Steam but they go through some other launcher

Yeah… PC gaming does not imply keyboard and mouse. You can use whatever controllers you want.

It also doesn’t imply sitting on an office chair in front of a monitor.

I use my PC to game on the TV, from the couch with a controller all the time.

You can still hop into a 64 player BF1942 server at most times, even though you can’t even install it in EA app anymore

Out of curiosity, what negative affect would someone else cheating on their progression have on me? Like is it just a sense of injustice?

They probably judged how many people care accurately, but misjudged how deeply those that do care. And how much more likely those people are to leave a review.

To be fair it looks like the publisher originally used the term and reading between the lines in this post, the devs seem like they are annoyed by it.

In reference to “Games-as-a-Service,” we simply plan to continually update the game for many years to come, just like the previous two Subnautica games. Think our Early Access update model, expanded. No season passes. No battle passes. No subscription.

It’s not wrong, there exists a dog that a microwave is bigger than
