All the sweaty middle-aged dudes with unwashed asses see GabeN as the only good billionaire. They’ll protect him with the same fervor that they use to try and keep women and POC out of gaming.

Or just fucking turn off trading stupid weapon skins? Idk, seems like the bare fucking minimum of effort.

What a strange way to look at it. Here Valve is, actively working to addict children to their unregulated gambling market, but yeah, let’s deflect the conversation by protecting them and pointing out how mean we think somebody else is being to them.

For fucks sake, Coffee is an investigative journalist, and he didn’t drum up shit. The problem has always been there, you idiots are just too busy sucking GabeN off that you can’t entertain the possibility that he isn’t the second coming of Christ.

They didn’t specifically say it needed to be a souls-like. In fact, if you had read the whole thing, they’re considering including a 2d platformer.

They want new experiences for their friend. They probably don’t want a game that their friend has already played on console.

Exclude the tag, and after awhile Steam will stop recommending them to you. If you’re seeing a lot of them, it’s because you’re looking at a lot of them.

Don’t bother trying to understand it. They’ll tell you it’s because Epic is “anti-consumer”, while ignoring anything Valve does that’s shitty. The same people will post in other threads how there’s “no good billionaires”, then come to this community and post shit like “all hail our savior, Lord GabeN”.

In truth, it boils down mostly to them seeing PC gaming as Valve’s fiefdom, and Epic is aggressively trying to force their way into the market, which upsets them. The fact they feel comfortable putting all of PC gaming into the hands of a single mega corporation is insane, because when Valve inevitably goes under, we’re going to lose a lot of gaming history all at once. Not to mention, it was Steam that was responsible for the advent of not owning the games you buy, something I consider to be one of the worst things to ever happen to gaming.

Time for the weekly Valve fuckbois griping about how Epic is destroying the fabric of reality.

That’s not how anyone describes that game, and if they did, I’m sure it wouldn’t have been canceled. Frostpunk did pretty well.

More like it’s a shitty headline. The article shows there’s a little more to it, specifically that it was going to go over budget and they hadn’t figured out what they were gonna do.

If you root your phone, you give root access to any malware you run across as well. So don’t use your phone for anything that you don’t want to end up on some darkweb forum.

You can root your phone to remove all security features, if you don’t mind malware having full access to your data. You should probably cancel your debit and credit cards if you do, and lock your credit score, cause if you’re doing stuff like that you won’t have to wait long till Have I Been Pwned notifies you you’re in a data breach.

they don’t want malware to screenshot your banking info, but go off I guess

They did, but this is so little of a blip, it might not have even triggered.

Oh, I wasn’t implying anything of the sort, I just got excited about that little detail and wanted to share it with you!

Somebody pointed out to me that the witcher medallion that Ciri is wearing is feline, so possibly from the School of the Cat, which according to the wiki was known to train women as witchers. I wonder if they had a different trial than that of the grasses. She might be a full fledged mutant, like Geralt.

IDK, but it’ll be interesting to see how the story goes. Looking forward to it, for sure.

I’ve actually got both of those. Not sure when I bought them, but they’re on my account.

They’ve been working on it full time for two years. That’s two years they’ve been working full time on it. The full time development has been in progress for two years. For two years, the developers have been working full time on the game.

Did I mention it’s been in development for two years?

Are they witcher potions though? Or are they the kind the sorcerers use?

They’ve been working on it since they finished the next gen update for 3. That’s about two years now.

They’ve also said they learned their lesson with CP2077, so they aren’t going to give release dates or spend massive amounts on marketing this time around.

I need to actually start on 3. I’ve had it for several years, just never got around to playing it.

They’ve been working on it full-time for two years, so yeah. They’ve probably written one or two lines.

Well, at least being full of shit isn’t one of them!

Man, whatever universe you’re from, I wanna go there, since it sounds nice. I know you’re not from this universe, because if you were, everything you just said would be total bullshit.

What’s the point of your comment? It doesn’t change the fact that, at the end of the exclusivity period, those games will show up on GOG, which doesn’t care if they’re “old” games that don’t sell much.

Nobody is paying more than a couple dollars at most for Fallout 1 & 2, but do you see GOG throwing a fit about that? How do you suppose Epic exclusives are going to change that?

Is WeChat used in the US? Why the fuck are you using a Chinese app as your example, you could have done better than that, you twatwaffle.

I know an update can contain malicious code, I’m saying you’re an idiot for thinking Todd Sweeney is going to go to prison so that China can steal data from a bunch of fat sweaty dudes.

Your comment is even more fucking idiotic when you consider Microsoft works with the NSA, and Recall will archive everything you do on your Windows PC for them to peruse at will without a warrant.

I don’t give any attention to the arguments that Steam is “more mature” in regards to features, when the vast majority of users don’t use those features to begin with. Steam has all the community features (and more) of Discord, but I would wager most of the fanboys in this thread don’t even know about that, or where to find those community features, let alone actually use them.

Yeah, but it’s different when Gabe does it. You know, just cause it is!

You don’t need to update them manually if you installed them using Heroic. You only need to update them manually if they were manually installed using a offline installer.

If a game works on Windows, there’s a 95% chance it works as good or better on Linux. The same can be said for MacOS apps, and Android apps, as there are packages to run those on Linux as well.

Tencent could own 100% of Epic, that doesn’t mean Epic is going to install malware on your PC for the Chinese government. That’s some top tier tinfoil bullshit. Nobody who lives in the US, which is where all the Epic employees and corporate overlords live, is going to risk going to prison for decades for espionage because their boss in China wants to steal data from gamers in the West.

You’re out of your fucking mind.

No, that’s good DRM. You shouldn’t criticize the benevolent GabeN, may his corporate monopoly last forever.

Praise be!

It’s not harassing me. I’ve bought Epic exclusives, and I’ll continue to do so if it’s a game I want to play. I always buy GOG first, Epic second (for exclusives), and Steam last, for anything else. This isn’t a problem for me.

What’s your point? Why would that matter if I’m not using their launcher when I play games from the Epic store? Just don’t use the Epic launcher. It’s not rocket science.
