Enjoy the rabbit hole! Don’t forget “Control” and “Quantam Break”!
DO NOT PLAY ALAN WAKE 2’S DLC UNTIL YOU’VE PLAYED CONTROL! Not like a gatekeeping thing, but there’s A LOT of backstory and tie-ins. I think you’ll enjoy it.
It’s like if the guy from Infamous worked at an SCP facility, but with unique lore and an emphasis on Maslow’s Jung’s (woops) interpretation of schemas/ the supernatural. It’s super fun.
Does anyone think the “forbidden love” part is odd?
I’m throwing this out there: Miquella is a trans woman but only identifies in her “dreams.” In her dreams, she’s the consort of Messmer because he also sought to create his own Erd Tree. They had a falling out, and Messmer wanted to keep their realm shrouded in dreams, while Miquella wanted to bring them to the surface so she could assume her true identity. We, as the players, will choose our side.
My theory: You save either Save Miquella or kill Messmer. Somewhat like the dichotomy between Radagon and Marika, but with a choice.
Edit: this was also written by George Martin, I’m pretty sure they’re cousins ಠ_ಠ
Rimworld, Runescape, EVE, Factorio, Gmod, VR chat, Skyrim Modding, working with Lua, installing linux… wait…
Tbf though, after Planetside broke the record for largest in-game battle, I’ve never been able to switch to a new “fps mmorpg”.
Edit: I just want throw this old clip out there:

God I miss planetside
The art and images that image AI’s are based off of, are stolen. They diffuse them as a legal loop hole. That’s the main issue. I want to see AI pushed forward, but not when they’re scraping data and not crediting artists. The amount of data required for an image AI is crazy; we have to figure out a way of legally and respectfully requiring that data.
Text AI’s are marginally better, because a lot of the data acquired was opt in. It was just people talking. There is the issue with them ripping books, though.
I know everyone says it, but FUCK they should let Obsidian do the writing, and they need to drop that ancient game engine. Microsoft has probably killed this company.
Fallout: New Vegas had some of their best story telling. The Outer Worlds had awesome lore too. I’m really surprised they didn’t bring them along.
Oh, you’re all set. I haven’t played that one either. Where do you think they’ll go in the future?
