There are others for liverpool and Manchester United but only 1-2 people are active on those. The arsenal community has 4-5 regularly active members and some people dropping in from time to time. I guess it is the only thriving(for a lack of a better word) team specific community.
So my suspicion that the ‘efficiency’ of shots has gone up with the introduction of data analysis seems to be true. I just hope that we don’t completely lose worldies from outside the box in a decade or two

Well my logic is that long shoots were always low xG attempts so even when players were attempting more long shots, the goals were originating mostly from shots inside the box. Since it is only long shots that have decreased in number, I expect the average distance of a shot resulting in a goal to hardly see any decrease
So the commentary team just said that city not having de bruyne is equivalent to arsenal not having Odegaard but I don’t think so. Rodri and Odegaard are more comparable considering there general level of influence on the game for their respective teams.
It is the same thing which happened to ajax, monaco, etc when they had their impressive seasons. Nothing one can do to prevent it in the current footballing environment where the biggest clubs have orders of magnitude more spending power.
That was a great match. Frankly Germany had chances at the end especially füllkrug with his free header. Spain took their one big chance in extra time and Germany didn’t. That’s all that separated the teams at the end

Hell both matches today were unbelievably brilliant. This side of the draw could have well been a semifinal lineup and we would have lost nothing. Can’t wait for next week.
