I think I’m just use to the movement style and teleporting is a bit jarring and makes me stumble. It takes a good dozen hours to stop getting motion sick in general. Now I can do it drunk.

I had the opposite problem where teleporting makes me dizzy. I only used it as a last resort and can’t survive games that don’t give you the option to not use it.

I saved up 2k over a year for a 5090. Gave up and bought a last gen AMD card with a waifu on it and may get a new phone with the left over.

I was going to be mildly upset I couldn’t play multiplayer If I pirate it. Now I’m dodging a bullet.

Thanks for reminding me about the DnD schedule. Been on a cliff hanger for 3 weeks since one guy got busy at work…

Please devs, stop assuming I have 3 other friends.

Not to mention if you do the 100 hours and it turns out the culture is more toxic than Warcraft raiding.

Sounds like the same issue I had with the Witcher, 2 hours of build up and fetch quest for a 10 minute fight get a a little old 40 hours in. I didn’t even get to play the cool looking vampire DLC because I would have to keep grinding more boring stuff to level up.

I absolutely want a game that I can sink 1000s of hours into. I do not want a game where I get bored half way tough because the dev clearly gave up or only the first 10 are fun.

New POV: The vending machine getting robbed by Otis.

I would be surprised if its not a mod already.

The problem is they put 300million in the graphics thinking it will make up the the 3 hours of fun content they copy-pasted from the last title. They charge $70 (plus $6000 in skins, skips, the other half of the game, and + a $7 month battle pass) and you still got to wait 3-6 months for the game to be in a playable state.

Same problem as Hollywood, big soulless corpos wearing the freshly harvested face of creativity to get an inverter hard. These clowns keep losing to some dudes making the game they want to play themselves because those guys actually care.

I have no life. Also my /played in WoW is in months if not over a year. I don't have an addictive personality

I basically dropped it once they stopped doing regular community goals. Those were fun since you ran into a lot of people. One of my best memories of the game is getting to a random small station in a CG and needing to wait in the surprisingly orderly line of ships and BSing for 30 minutes. How mundane sitting in line was while being in a damn space ship lol.

I also put well over 1000 hours in. Real disappointed they seemingly gave up on it. The one thing I wanted was to walk around my anaconda aimlessly while I pass my destination at 20c.

I don’t know what factory I am supposed to grow this week.

I would also be waste deep in the machine and they get pissy I’m not going to crawl out to tell them what a dying plant cold figure out.

Welp, better rope my self for my typo.

They committed fraud with a false take down and are hoping they don’t get the shit sewed out out them by pointing the finger.

I’m also confused. I was implying that taking a deal with Epic makes you shitty sellout on a untrustworthy platform they have to bribe users, and the custom will remember that.

>Steam has 132 million monthly active users.

>Monthly Active Users reached 75M users

You going to the platform that nerds get excited shovel money into, or are you going to cash out up front and have Epic hand your your game to Fortnight kids for free while pissing off excited potential customers.

Epic pays devs to release it on Epic

Devs trade Epic reputation for cash.

I’m planning on waiting a few days to check the reviews and make sure it can run on my PC, but it’s pretty promising to see such a glowing review coming in early from the Kremlin.

If they look like there just roaming around, emoting, roll-playing, playing with random items/spells or generally fucking around; there likely feeling social and may respond but each MMO has a different vibe to it. Look for people loudly drawing attention in cites. Wow players tend to group up but not say anything, There is mechanical communication(IE: everyone is in perfect sync in a group activity) but that has a good chance of breaking down at the first sign of trouble. I can’t say much A lot of it is bar level interaction, you hang out for 30 minutes, do your dungeon and move on. If you get along with some one during an activity, send a friend request and they may accept or ignore it, sometime they may sit on it for a bit.

There is a lot of toxicity or other people you will just not , block and move on if its a problem to you, report if it’s still a problem after that. You will never win an argument on the internet. Being a weirdo is normal, and awkward interactions will be common, as that guy has a good chance of being from some country you cant find on the map(or your government may have literally bombed there family yesterday). Noting more honest than 2 randos finding out there at war with each other after spending 2 hours having fun.

Noting inflates the ego like a random whisper asking how you got a badass mount.

representing World of Warcraft’s expansions

adds a $90 pay to win mount that gives you half the functionality of an entire major city.

Blizzard milking the whales while delivering a reskin of a mount? Very on brand and representative.

Was saying $90 USD. Did they also do individual gatcha pricing or just regonal?

Honest explanation of perspective from a PC gamer deciding weather or not to buy a game I think a dev should know:

According to the game’s Epic Games Store listing, Red Dead Redemption will cost $49.99/ £39.99 on PC, despite first being released in 2010.

I don’t think a game I played over 10 years ago is worth paying $40 again without some good value added to it. What makes this worth $40 to me as a consumer who enjoyed the original? I don’t see enough value to justify it.

It’s also a coin flip if the port is good, functional, or will have arbitrary technical limitations like no modding. I also don’t want to get screwed over and inconvenienced like the last time I gave them money. They are removing value from an over priced product by slowing it down and treating you like.

If I think a game is worth pirating, I am most likely willing to buy it or a future product from that dev if the situation was different or the product was better. Hell, I pirate games I intend to buy to make sure there not absolute dog shit and technically functional. I personally don’t thing its worth pirating Red Dead even without DRM, I already played it years back and I suspect Rockstar will make this version worse than the original knowing how they done things in the past.

I’m assuming I’m going to have to create an account, consent to spying, not own anything, install additional software to allow me to login and launch the game since they don’t like the one I choose, figure out compatibility, be exposed to predatory monetization, install a root kit to make sure I’m not bypassing monetization or cheating, worse performance, wave legal rights to contracts, deal with too little or too much moderation, and it still may be a turd that disappears 5 years alter after all of that. None of this is fun and removes value form the fun I would expect to purchase. I’m offended they think any of this shit is good. This is what will get PC players to hate your business. If you do this crap and you can only justify it to share holders and not customers, I want you to fail.

Corporate developers make games as an investment product and not a creative product. Denuvo is in the business as a designated ball squeezer that takes the reputational heat for a greedy dev that needs 0.3% on profit chart. We are not Denuvos customers. Denuvos customers are soulless board members creating investor profit by betting their reputation is still good enough to start enshitifying without immediately getting customers to jump ship.

Having a talking head come out once a week to make an offical statement calling people literally every insult in the book for saying “Game looks like shit and this dev has a track record of being shitty, save your money” is going to start a fight.

Pirates & gamers

Lets blame 100% of the demographic we are fucking over. No wonder they get along so well with big devs.

Hardware and content is still the big issue. The good porn games still suck in VR, and there’s not a lot of them. The equipment is just too inconvenient.

Your hands are occupied, your positions are restricted, your tethered to the PC, and I don’t want to get a thousand dollars of delicate hardware nutted on. It’s just not there yet.

Betting on another bland and soulless corpo cash grab that wears the skin of another nostalgic childhood memory.

My friend think he’s the best LoL player ever and the smartest man on earth. Iron 4.

Most have tried make their own launchers/markets and failed since they are too greedy to build up trust.

The company that sells ships in an unfinished game with IRL money that cost more than a real car is being scum? surprisedPikachu.gif
