Here I though offline mode for The Crew 2 was a small step in the right direction or an olive branch. This is what I get for being optimistic I guess lol

Currently playing Tactical Breach Wizards. It’s not really “hardcore” the way XCOM is, which suits my lifestyle right now.

My favourite part of the game is when the dude made fun of me for quick saving so much, and when I peed upwards he started caughing

I can’t attest to how well this works but I’ve seen yt videos recommending videos of people running BF2 once in awhile

Battlefield 2 (and 2142 I think?) still have people playing the multiplayer. I ought to check it out one day

Yeah, pretty disappointed by the limitations. Pretty much no reason to buy it when mods are above and beyond what they offer

This whole movement really highlights how hard it is to get the word out for me. Fediverse isn’t a huge place as it is, relative to other online spaces. But every time SKG related topics surfaces there are always people who have never heard about it and people talking about misconceptions that Ross has addressed many times.

Anyway for everyone else, especially if you’re in the EU, please check out https://www.stopkillinggames.com/

My SO isn’t that big of a gamer but these are the games we’ve played together:

Lovers in a dangerous spacetime Battleblock Theatre Octodad

I don’t know how the tolerance for difficulty is for you guys but I think it’s worth a look

There are goals you have to meet to be counted as a win and move on to the next stage but ultimately it’s a high score attack type of game

The one that’s the most fun and made me feel the most powerful is the VSS from STALKER. Learning the bullet drop and managing to head shot a moving target is very satisfying.

If only I have the money for the pre-order. Eurojank my beloved.

Feeling nostalgic and I was just listening to the Pokemon gen2 soundtrack

GTA 5 used an in-house engine (used previously, sure, but StarEngine is also modified from a pre-existing engine). The combined development and marketing budget is US$265 million. Development started in 2008 and released in 2013.

Cyberpunk 2077 also used an in-house engine, budget (not sure if marketing is included or not) is US$316 million. Development started in 2012 and released in 2020.

To put it to perspective Star Citizen’s Kickstarter started on 2012. GTA 5 released on 2013, and GTA 6 is supposed to be out in 2025. If it doesn’t get delayed too significantly we will get 2 full GTA games before SC is released.

Ravenfield with some mods on Workshop maybe? Or Operation Harshdoorstop with some Workshop.

I really liked the trailer and the world. Would love to give it a try

I can’t find it anymore but I swear there’s a method involving the bug catching contest where you could end up teaching any moves to any pokemon and I ended up with an onix with surf.
