Prince of Persia sands of time, Beyond Good and Evil, Rayman, Splinter Cell, etc. They were very prolific back when they and the rest of the industry understood that you couldn’t just bet all your money on a single title all the time, you had to have some dog-shit movie tie-ins and terrible Barbie games to keep the lights on.

I loved hi-fi rush. I loved the soundtrack, I loved how satisfying the combat system was while still being challenging to pull off consistently well. I always felt I was incentivised to vary my combos because of the DMC-like style meter. I loved the old-school 3d platformer feel as that was nostalgic for me. It was also just such a joyful game. Ok the story has down beats but overall it’s a really happy game. I absolutely loved my time with it.

Only heard a couple people talk about it online (that I trust to be reasonable) and they basically said it was fine but didn’t blow them away. And that’s fine but it makes for boring “cOnTeNt”.

I heard a journalist use similar language to describe skibidi toilet recently like it was just the one video. You’d think journalists would know better.

This comes up a lot with Bethesda games and I don’t understand it in a lot of ways. You (maybe not you personally but someone) paid full AAA game price for this boring game and you didn’t enjoy it. Why would mods bring you back to something you didn’t enjoy when there are actually great games out there waiting to be played instead for far less money and don’t require mods to make it bearable?

I agree it’s a low-to-mid tier phone but as I’m only using my FP4 for calls, discord, email, browsing, youtube etc it’s perfectly fine. Most people don’t need a top tier phone these days.

“Too slow to be viable” is a bit strong. I’ve had a fairphone 4 for at least a year now and I’ve had no issues.
