There’s nothing wrong with Secure Boot and enabling it can prevent a small subset of attack vectors with no real downsides. That being said, the things Secure Boot does protect against aren’t likely to be an issue for most users but it’s nothing to be afraid of.
Valve releasing a competitive game doesn’t prevent you from doing this. I for one am excited by the potential of this game. Then again, I’ve been playing Dota for 10 years so maybe I’m just a masochist.
I’d rather they use the open standard. Google should, too. If there are shortcomings with the standard then let’s improve the standard, not create a custom implementation of it.
I’m with you. The Witness is still quite possibly my favorite game of all time. One of the few I wish I could wipe from my memory and play again, fresh.
TotK is absolutely amazing, no questions. However, while I have certainly noticed a few hiccups the performance has been more than adequate. Sure, it’s not as good as any of the PC games I own but it’s also not trying to be.
