Anyone else get horrendous buffering via this website? I’ve never had a streamff link load properly… Maybe adblock?

From a business perspective it makes sense in the same way many European teams have shifted their pre-season abroad.

It increases global interest in the league leading to increased revenue, and they get to destroy the planet just that little bit more.

In my opinion, the decay of football to the pure Americab sports franchise system has been rapid in the last years… maybe that’s just my perspective though.

As clarification I meant: “do people in Australia care about the tiny black and white sticker on the box which says “M - rated for mature audiences” now?”

and not: “why should the global community give a damn about Australia…”.

I remember cinemas were always strict with entry into movies, but game shops never used to ask for ID. Has this changed?

I love rolling dice on my multi million dollar sports franchise!

But seriously, wishing him the best of luck and Kane another trophyless season!

Agreed. Plus the chance to make Harry Kane go home unhappy is one any of us would take up!

We (Arsenal) are going to draw Bayern in the round of 16 and the nonce will score to send us out and I will cry.

My point was more aimed at players switching to the Saudi league isn’t surprising, as many footballers are definitely in it for the money first and foremost.

But on the money point, all these US sports families for example (Glazers, Kreonke’s) are all heavily politically tied to the US government who hasnt exactly been a peachy friend to a bunch of countries. Hell even FIFA/UEFA get most of their prize money from these clowns (e.g. Gazprom, Qatars world cup etc.). DON’T GET ME WRONG - I fucking hate them all - I just don’t buy that someone kicking a ball in Saudi Arabia is ethically more correct than someone doing it for the Glazers who then donate millions to the GOP.

Sportswashing is gross on all fronts and the only way to stop it is to stop consuming it.

I don’t get this take. While incredibly disappointing, it is not in the least bit surprising to see these people chasing phenomenal paychecks. Their “integrity” is for sale.

You can also argue that as soon as you are dealing with the level of money in top league football, there is a very, very slim chance that the money is coming from an ethical place.
