“Fugas” totally not random

Not to mention it they had it way before steam ever heard of refunds.
People have! Homebrewing it for piracy is definitely not legal, but you can hack it like any other PSP (okay technically you can get original homebrew for it kinda but not really legally). But if you’re a law abiding citizen, you can’t buy new digital games for it.
Oh cool
Postal 2 was one of the games in the bundle I mentioned. HuniePop was included IIRC along other games like Fetish Locator. It was given away just after the other two stores caved in.
Yep

IIRC that was Australia. But even their refund policy now is shit. Two hours after you click launch on a game? GOG back then had a 14 day money back guarantee, now extended to a full 30 days refund policy.
IIRC Steam is Two hours after you click launch on a game or 14 days after you bought the game,But i always thought GOG’S refund policy is more generous
There are very few of these games and the only way to know about them is a community-made spreadsheet compiled through trial and error. Unlike GOG, they’re not guaranteed to stay DRM-free - they can suddenly become DRM’d at any moment.
Yeah your right and there is no legal way to bypass it
(but AFAIK BeamNGand like PPG does not have the DRM and All Adobe AIR Games for example)
The PSP Go was the first digital only console and since the PS Store was discontinued for it, yep, no more buying games for it.
I wonder if people ever homebrew’d it to circumvent it (idk if this is even legal)
If they did, then they caved to them despite their wealth and resources. Meanwhile GOG gave away a bundle full of NSFW games and they’re also served by Visa and MC. AFAIK only they and itch.io publicly shot themselves here.
I think the only non-NSFW/NSFW-adjacent Game GOG gave out was Postal 2
and i get it now.

Alright here is my response(am not defending Valve or calling them Saints here)
Caving in to the anti-NSFW demands is “doing nothing”?
IIRC Didnt Visa and Mastercard pressure them
Paid mods?
thats a thing?
Not offering refunds for more than a decade?
i heard a government pressured them to doing this, yeah that sucks though
Being one of the first to popularize loot boxes and with it “marketplaces” of items that don’t exist, where you aren’t even guaranteed the horse armor you want to buy?
Yeah that sucks to,but for me its fine for F2P Video games and if its not P2W
Donationware would be cool too 👍
literally destroying physical media, used games, and game ownership in one fell swoop so we have to rely on GOG to get the latter back in some form?
Didnt everything move digital?
but
for the most part Steam/Valve did kinda destroy physical Medium, there are sometimes video games that are sold on DVDS/CDS(Video games,Music)
i think for non-DRM Games you can Still own it on Steam???
and used games well i think the digital switch killed it, but if the franchise still has physical Medium it is still possible.

And its in third person, not first person.
ohhh yeah i forgot
it’s more casual and fun oriented, not that balanced at all
Yeah fair enough
BTW I recently installed Team Fortress 2 Classified, a mod that got its own Steam store page. It has lot of stuff from early TF2 days recreated and looks very interesting. Still need to try it out.
i think its also Team Fortress classic and maybe scraped tf2 features aswell

agreed, i feel like Valve is using their monopolization for good then bad, look at Valve’s competitors using their monopolization stance for bad.
and i feel like Valve has monopoly cause they do less mistakes then their competitors(compare Steam with like Epic Games and GOG)
am not defending valve here,am not saying Valve is a saint.

i made the switch to linux about 2 years ago(2024,stopped dual booting on dec 2024), so far it has been ok (except for one hiccup where My TF2’S fps would tank but there is a workaround, i use Nvidia),apps are okay but i hate how basically the only option you have is GIMP, which i dont like how it doesnt have Content-Aware Scaling i think its called?,shapes would be nice too but its optional, i just use photopeas for the time being)
and video games:
i mainly avoid kernel level anticheat things so its really good here.
Proton/DXVK is very good and nice, but it would be nice if game devs made native Linux versions.
and GNOME 49 looks really nice i love the UI/UX,CachyOS is also a nice Distro(i did try Arch but mehh probably not for me i did install the de and utils but disk stuff was annoying),BTRFS is really handy and nice(i love snapshots).
devices i run desktop Linux on:
I3 12100F + GTX 1650 + 16GB RAM (gaming pc)
Raspberry pi 5 8GB ram (backup/home server pc, running debian/armbian with ext4 on this though)

first time seeing a indie dev go ahead and Remove the whole game because the whole game uses AI.
Until now i only have seen indie devs just use AI to show that its just a tool rather then replacing artists/people, to fit the narrative(the narrative itself is not AI generated) and keep it on the game’s backgrounds(and the devs opted to use adobe firefly cause it claims to be “ethical” there were even mods created to remove the AI apparently).

maybe they didnt add it cause
“The DRM is noteable for only protecting against extremely casual piracy (i.e. copying game files between friends), and is primarily used by game developers to ensure proper Steam/Steamworks API functionality within their games for legitimate users.”

oh thats pretty cool actually, but if the multiplayer SDK is just DRM with a diff name i would rather stick to Steam.
And Steam’s DRM was pretty invisible to me until, ironically, I got a Steam Deck. Then I started running into games that needed to be authenticated while I was on a train with no internet.
and what games are those,i never had that experience with my steam library(except for only requiring the Steam Client to run). maybe this comes from other drms the game has?

Pretty cool!
Ngl if Steam ever had a product decay I maybe start buying games on GOG instead.
And the DRM free thing on GOG sounds neat(even if I don’t think Steams DRM is that bad its slightly bad ofc)
And GOG should add like:
More video games,Steam workshop equivalent,their own proton/contributions to Proton,GOG Galaxy port to Linux/better Linux support,multiplayer sdk?(like Steam?),etc
If they want it to become a good steam competitior.
