I just refuse to support Ubisoft. I don’t like their practices, or most of their games. I don’t feel I’m missing much by skipping whatever they make. Hopefully they go out of business and a better company can pick up their IPs and make good games, for a decent price, without crazy micro-transactions, 30 different special packs, and a required secondary launcher

It’s important to remember that the lore books are intended to be tinged as propaganda by the narrator. Of course the imperium will say it’s angels of death are semi-gods of the battlefield, but in reality armor only stops so much and a 7ft tall slab muscle walking tank is impressive, but a carnifex is still gonna carry its weight on the field as well and fuck up some astartes

There are few things more fun than launching the acetylene tanks at everything and everyone at every opportunity

Plenty of amazing small studios make great games for a budget of a couple packs of mtn dew and some cheese whiz crackers

The finals isn’t even a looter shooter though, it’s an arena shooter.

The finals is pretty damn fun though I will say.

I’ll also say I wanted marathon to work, any good competition to tarkov is welcome because I’m not fucking supporting Nikita and his idiotic practices anymore. He got EOD money from me in 2016/17, hope he made good use of it

Fishing ponds is a nice addition, always looking for ways to feed these hungry peasants. They want so much food!!!

I really hope they don’t adapt and their IPs get sold to someone with 2 brain cells to rub together

Those upgrades clearly weren’t up to snuff. The game may have ended up profitable but it certainly wasn’t the next Skyrim from community feedback. They dumped a ton of money into it but it won’t have the money printing longevity of Skyrim

Problem with starfield is the content was small and sprinkled into an ocean of game. MAYBE with a smaller world to build in they’ll be ok, though I agree, low hope here

That’s true and I agree to an extent… they really need to build a new engine for whatever release is next, starfield proved that the current one won’t cut it. People are tired of these tiny cities and copy/paste dungeons everywhere.

The next big Bethesda title should coincide with the new engine launch if Todd has his witts still. It also shouldn’t be 2030 before we see that new engine…

Haven’t tried helldivers yet, bought the steam deck to use on planes and trains while on holiday and so haven’t had internet access at all and certainly not reliable internet most of that time. Super Earth will just have to wait until this diver is back at the main machine

I just got a steam deck a few weeks ago and gotta say, it’s pretty great and it just boots into steam which is all I’d ever want a handheld to do. I got the highest tier steam deck for $650 and it’s had no issue running anything I’ve wanted to run on it. It runs new stuff perfectly well from all the reports I’ve seen of people playing baldurs gate 3 on it

Looks wise Hayley Williams is great for Lilith, don’t think she acts but there has to be a ginger actress other that Karen Gillian interested

Ish, smite is literally a MOBA with the camera sitting behind the characters shoulder instead of top-down.

Easiest and only description of SMITE is third-person MOBA. I’ve played since 2012

It’s hard to compare sales numbers of 90s games to late 2000s games lol the whole industry had a massive growth spike post-Xbox introduction and PCs getting massively cheaper to build

Nikita has a history of bad ideas but this one takes the cake hands down, and in normal Nikita fashion… his response is fuck you im gonna do what I want and you can’t do anything about it.

I long ago tired of Nikitas antics and stopped playing tarkov since he kept making it worse and worse with the excuse of fighting cheaters instead of just joining up with an effective anti-cheat company. Also the fact they put the game on sale IMMEDIATELY after every ban wave is just too obvious

Same thing happens with WH40k and GW has to put out memos telling Nazis to fuck off every few years.

Media literacy is apparently difficult

Oh stop, games have been the same price for decades, it’s not surprising they’re seeing a small price increase after so long in stagnation.

In good companies this is passed along to the actual devs making our games, which is something we should all support

You can get the items for free by finding them or pay barbers in the villages for it instead. Similar to the first game, the first one was just niche so didn’t have a huge crowd throwing fits instead of reading or even playing the game

Dragons dogma is a fantastic game that I thoroughly enjoyed. The sequel is looking amazing so getting into the world now through the first game is a good idea

The media latches on to anything like this for clicks. I have like 60 hours in HD2 and have seen nothing toxic beyond people saying sorry but they’re gonna kick me to make room for a friend that crashed and is rejoining, and that’s not really toxic

Hopefully the infection mechanics are done, I really didn’t enjoy this season and only launched the game to do the holiday and anniversary events since the anniversary hat is limited and holidays are kinda limited.

I liked the robot season a lot, the plague/infection one was just tedious and unappealing aesthetically to me.

Still love DRG and can’t wait to play after the season 5 update.

ROCK AND STONE!

They’re a decade and a half late on this. We were still playing as Altair when everyone said this would be a great ninja game mechanics wise. Now they’re finally doing it but Ubisoft is a shadow of the studio they used to be quality-wise.

I haven’t bought anything from them in almost 10 years and have no intention to since it’s been the same bad game over and over with just more cosmetic stores and micro transactions galore.

Helldivers 2! Played the first one a bit but not nearly as engaged with that as I am in this. Bought on launch day and had a blast until the massive player spike killed the servers, that’s seems to be better now as I was able to get in fine and play for a few hours last night.

It’s 100% worth the price and hype but I recommend waiting a few weeks to a month from now while they fully deal with server load issues and they say mechs are pretty much ready to be added now and are just getting polished.

For background, the first game peaked at ~7000 players, this one had 480K on steam alone and that number again on PlayStation this past weekend. They didn’t expect this level of success and so didn’t plan to have server capacity and robust network code for it, they are putting in the long nights to fix it though and we’re already seeing improvements only a couple weeks in

Yes but it’s not a sequel, certainly not several sequels like that one guy said. Survivors is an offshoot to hopefully help coffee stain make some more moneys for development of DRG

They claim to have spent 40 million usd marketing it, I saw some people on twitch playing it when it first came out but it looked meh and was priced way too high so I didn’t watch much

Well deserved, I’m having a fucking blast on PC. Only issues I’m having are with matchmaking such from what I hear is caused by them not expecting this success and they’re working on scaling up.

No crashes or frame rate issues on a Ryzen 7 1800x, AMD Radeon 6900XT, 16gb RAM, NVME SSD

The original subnautica game is still gorgeous. I played it for the first time last summer and loved it, spent 80 hours to finish and don’t regret it for a sec, the atmosphere of that game is amazing. Just chilling in the “safe” sections is so relaxing after a long day of work as well

They’re going to want hundreds of millions if not billions, I don’t think we can do that even if the celebrities that like it pitch in heavily lol

CEO makes a profitable year, collects large bonus then golden parachutes out while has to melts down after selling one of only two profitable divisions of the company. The other is Magic the Gathering

Please no, not Tencent of all companies please. Just sell it to Games Workshop and let them run it alongside the assorted warhammer IPs. GW already has the mini printing and lorecrafting experience to make it successful

Wonder why, I was watching Lirik, shroud, and summit play it earlier and it honestly looked really good. I’m not 100% sold on the destiny/warframe-lite combat but the story is good and the writing is funny. Graphics are great as well, the cutscenes are gorgeous and there’s very little noticeable cutover between game and cutscene

Unless they’re having trouble getting them working, which isn’t encouraging for launch.

They at least have some working, they flew a bunch of streamers to LA for an event and had them stream the game a few weeks back.

Looked like a crackdown-ish game with DC character running around. Think like the Spider-Man games of the last few years but without the beloved characters

I saw shroud playing it on twitch at an event they brought him to the other day. It gave crackdown vibes but with DC character jumping around. Just fly here beat up random dudes, repeat endlessly
