For some reason decided to give Kenshi a shot. Big mistake. What a timesink!

For those already owning one - try setting up pihole or an equivalent. Sony could be serving ads from a domain used by something like a cdn, but I bet they don’t.

See, that’s a common mistake - MPFR library is a C library for multiple-precision floating-point computations with correct rounding. Valve is, unfortunately, still stuck to integers. Their floating point appears to be functioning correctly as they’ve managed to avoid kernel panic releasing hl2e{1,2} - you can look at that as floats 2.1 and 2.2.

It’s actually a technical problem - Valve is running 1 bit computers that, due to binary origins, can only represent 2 states. They’d love to release hl3, but that would require coming up with the whole new architecture - at least doubling up to 2 bit cpu. Imagine the headache of adapting all the toolchain to build the game!

I’m not an iphoner, but I think you will, one way or the other, need some sort of intermediary. I personally host nextcloud, so that would work. I’ve heard good things about syncthing, but haven’t tried it myself. Signal allows sending yourself messages and has a desktop client that you could use.

There’re probably a ton of options.

that doesn’t necessarily mean it will be an RTS, and whatever shape it takes will depend on the person or team who goes to bat for it.

So… it’s not Starcraft, then. It’s just another game.

I might give it some time to get polished. Might even run into a sale at that point.

I love a good sim, but the procedural bit is difficult to pull off anywhere. Thanks for thr input!

Brilliant. You could’ve kept your negative shit to yourself, but here we are.

The idea sounds absolutely awesome, but I have serious doubts any of that awesomeness can actually be delivered. Has anyone given it a shot? How did it go? Is it worth it?

Thank you. I’ve been dabbling with the idea of establishing a non-profit for my lemmy instance. I’m not a user of game/movie/etc wikis, but I do love looking after my servers. I wonder if a non-profit owned wiki site bear any weight over time.

Would you care to elaborate on what’s preventing wiki admins from migrating?

Your phone will be no less secure, as long as you use a good superuser app

This is factually incorrect and a dangerous statement. Your phone will be insecure, because you will have your bootloader unlocked - anyone can boot into that subsystem and access/alter the OS. It’s not a deal breaker for most, but some countries can become dangerous. Tread with caution.

May I suggest you check out KeepassDX? I found it’s UI/UX to be much better a few years ago. Haven’t looked back since.

I’ve fairly recently found out that swiping the spacebar does the horizontal scrolling across the characters! Thoroughly enjoyed that :)

I doubt they see what you’re typing as that would’ve been observed already.

Yes, you should replace the keyboard. I’m running FlorisBoard myself, but there are plenty of other options.

Play store does not allow me to download it on android 13 :( says it’s too new

I mean… What are the chances?! Unbelievable :D thank you, one tester eagerly awaiting :)
