You tried to charge money for a live service game, a genre that has endless options that are free.

You have 2 options for the S. Aim for 60 fps, or 30fps. If you target 60, most newer engine titles will look like the new Doom did at 60 fps, garbage. You have to run at such a low resolution to make it possible. At 30fps, you can at least not look like your screen is smeared with vaseline at the sacrifice of smoothness.

Give the player the option of 30/60 so they we can play how we want.

A lot of people didn’t like Assassins Creed Odyssey, but I loved it. Only AC I’ve played since 2.

I will probably reinstall this. Looks like a huge upgrade.

I agree, Mass Effect was/is gaming pop culture at one point. Almost every gamer I know has played or at least very familiar with ME. That number is maybe 1/4th for DA.

A lot of gamers, just like movie goers, do pay attention to reviews. If you have limited funds, especially as games get more expensive, you may pay more attention to what the community says prior to purchase.

I have an Xbox s and x. If I had paid full price and only had an s, I would have rioted. It looks like Vaseline got smeared all over my tv screen to get it to run on that thing. The framerate is good, but it has to down res so much it looks awful and actually detracts from the experience.

Tbh, the x runs awesome and looks great, but you do need a decent system to run it.

Unquestionably GOTY for me. It’s also the best game I’ve played in years. I am not a diehard rpg player but have played plenty since the 90s. I describe it as a love letter to the best jrpgs made, but without the long drawn-out stories.

I have absolutely believed this will happen. Just drop it as a normal banner and walk away. No press, no advertising, no nothing. Save all those marketing dollars because you won’t need it as soon as word gets out.

In your defense, the installer should have alerted you were short on space prior to starting the download.

It is turn based, something I wish FF would return to. There are quick time events for every action, it’s not absolutely necessary to do on certain difficulty, but really helps. There is a dodge and parry mechanic that you really should use to help survive.

If you are a fan of turn based rpg, you should check it out.

Check out Expedition 33. It feels like a love letter to jrpg but without the time commitment.

I’m right with you on the other LiS series, except for the harbor one, I forgot the name of. None kept me engaged enough to finish.

Life is Strange
Spiritfarer
Titanfall 2
Hellblade
Red Dead 2
Hades
Oxenfree

Many more, but these stood out on actually caring about the characters and what happened to them.

I’m being pedantic, but, Dodi and Fitgirl don’t crack or reconfigure the games. They just repackage existing material into convenient downloads.

Makes you curious how big Skyblivion is and how it will compare fidelity wise.

I guess I’m a weird one. I’ve saved so much money using Game Pass it’s not even funny. Throw in the pc version, and I’ve saved even more. I can try so many different genres I wouldn’t typically risk my money for. I have also avoided buying games I thought I would love but then ended up hating.

I think Nintendo thinks they have so much nostalgia, and loyal customers, that this generation they really said “fuck it” and are twisting the knife to see how much the consumer will tolerate. I’m not going to be surprised if we see price drops and actual sales (not 10 bucks off a 5 year old game like they usually do) by the time holidays role around. I don’t think they are anticipating the pushback that is happening.

100% this was the moment for me. By no means should they be charging any amount for an FAQ on how to use the product.

Maybe they are doing it due to how similar gen1 and 2 are to develop on. Gen2 just gets faster processing power. Maybe Nintendo told the devs target 30 fps on gen1 and we will almost guarantee 60 on gen 2. Or something to that effect.

I’ll actually turn on my ps5 for the first time in at least a year. Can’t believe it’s this summer.

Forza Horizon is a great arcade racer. This is the first I’ve heard about the requirement, so maybe after it spreads online, there will be more vocal pushback.

I did 32 because at the time, the price difference to 16gb was like 20 bucks.

Yeah, but you don’t HAVE to fuck the bear.

Joking aside, if romance and sex aren’t your thing, you as the player have control in most games to just not do those things.

They actually tried going into merch full bore, but somehow fucked it up by buying, then destroying ThinkGeek. It was an impressively fast decline too.

Same, I really enjoyed Veilgaurd and actually finished the damn thing, which is rare for me these days. It wasn’t perfect, but it was a good, breezy arpg.

Math cares? With a smaller sample size, even a handful of issues makes the percentage of problems fairly high.

5 bad apples in a dozen is a problem 5 bad apples in a truckload isnt.

I’m enjoying the game. Yes, the dialog misses the mark sometimes, and yes, the combat isn’t as deep as other arpgs. I’m still enjoying the overall game, 7 out of 10 for me. It comes across as a laid-back, easy to play game, which fits my playstyle right now anyway. I think the companion side quests are the highlight so far.
