I’ve been recently playing Kingsway which is a pretty unique roguelite RPG where the entire game takes place in a fake operating system inspired by the Windows 95 interface. Only on Steam though iirc.
Pretty fun, though I wish there were mods to increase the amount of content in the game.
The worst examples are the ones we remember or notice the most. Particularly egregious examples include those cursive looking fonts that looks like the handwriting of someone who likes loops too much.
There was a video by uricksaladbar analyzing Chloe’s character and I’m surprised that some people even like her after watching it. I guess it was one of the first lesbian couples in gaming, so people praised it for the inclusivity and ignored the severe character flaws present in Chloe.

I think the final door being open is because you opened it on an earlier playthrough, since characters share the same universe (unless you delete the universe save file)
I played through the main story and it was pretty fun. It’s a nice chill game overall, though it does suffer a bit from feature creep. I just ignored most of the minigames in favour of the actual main gameplay loop.
Caves of Qud is really good, but I don’t know if it is fully compatible with the Steam Deck. Very good RPG though.
