I honestly expected the next Witcher to feature Siri as a protagonist after playing as her a bunch in the Witcher 3. I’m more surprised at how surprised everyone else seems to be at this.

They’ve sunk ungodly amounts of cash to create unrealistic expectations for the VR market. Nobody can compete for the low end, and there’s no way meta is profiting, so what’s their end game?

I’m not going to lie: I would own a Quest 3 already if it didn’t have Meta all over it.

If nobody plays defense, they blindly assume they’re right about everything. That’s about it. Like children without an adult to tell them off when they act fussy over nothing.

Are they offering big money? Nintendo loves that more than people.

Don’t they do it too? (I don’t know because I don’t have a PC)

I’ve never seen a game I’d actually want to play on my smartwatch until now.

If I were a PC gamer instead of a console gamer, there’s no way I’d be able to keep track of all these redundant accounts. On the PS, I just log into one, and it just does all the other ones for me. I can’t blame you guys on PC for getting sick at yet another one. Can’t you just tie it to like a Steam login or something, or is that a bad idea?

Sony apparently saw this as their “Star Wars moment”, and went all in. Apparently there was also a culture of “toxic positivity” inside the studio where people became too reluctant to actually criticize anything. Sony probably heard nothing but enthusiasm.

Colin said in the clip that it doesn’t include the cost of the buyout.

Imagine if even a quarter of Concord’s budget had gone to efforts on PSVR2…

Will the switch 2 outperform the steam deck? Because if not, games will continue to be made to run on lower hardware.

What main storyline? I jumped in late and none of it made sense. I couldn’t even figure out what order I had to play. Gameplay was great as long as it wasn’t PVP.

Well then let them. It’s no skin off your back and no one else is actually getting hurt, so just ignore it.

I would guess the absurdity is the point. People trying to make each other laugh. If it bothers you, you don’t need to be there.

Tbh I love FO4. It’s not the best in the series, but I’ve played it through a couple times and wouldn’t mind playing it again soon. Hardly anything I’d call a colossal failure. FO76 was a hot mess at launch, but it had its hooks. I got that at launch and ended up playing more of it than I expected considering. No clue about Starfield, but if FO4 and 76 didn’t bug me as much as it did everyone else, I might get on with it decently… assuming they put it on PS5 at some point.

I think Elder Scrolls VI will do well no matter what condition it’s in, though I also doubt it will be a smooth launch.

They definitely ensured I became less inclined to even consider giving this game a chance.

I figured there was enough already to complain about, but if this is now what we’re complaining about, I start to think the game isn’t as bad as it’s being made out to be.

Sounds like skill issue to be honest

Seeing this crop up as a semi-frequent response before the game is even out yet isn’t really selling me on it. I definitely see myself as skill-challenged, so it sounds like I won’t like the game much and anyone I end up playing with probably wouldn’t like me much either.

In the article there’s a testimony from someone who doesn’t normally like shooters being into this game. That actually kind of speaks to me, but I’m convinced that’s because the general public still doesn’t have access to the game yet. Once people start getting crazy competitive on this, it won’t be fun anymore.

To ride this special car, you must agree to not open the windows.

Expectation: No? Okay, then I cannot allow you to ride this special car.

Valve: nope? Okay well get in anyway… Whaaat you opened the windows? Wtf?

Not saying the verge writer was or wasn’t behaving like an entitled child. In fact, I’m inclined to think he was, but It’s irrelevant. Valve made a goof. (Gasp!)

I could care less what valve does in response. They could blacklist the verge entirely and I probably wouldn’t even know. I just wonder if people only care because it’s valve.

Does Microsoft get a cut of all pc games sold? Do all pc games play on Xbox consoles?

I don’t think any of it matters, I’m just stating things as I see it. Microsoft wants profits, the examples I listed before have not been as profitable as probably predicted, so they are trying to make it up by selling older exclusives to eager PS customers. Sony sending exclusives to Xbox probably isn’t seen as profitable to Sony, so maybe they won’t do it.

I am more inclined to think they are just selling to other platforms because they have to after dropping so much money on Activision, Bethesda, and trying to keep games pass a decent value proposition.

Granted, I think selling multi platform is a good move and I hope they stick with it, but I think the PS5 is trouncing the Xbox enough worldwide that even without a whole lot of first party games, PlayStation has no real obligation to throw Xbox any bones in kind. PC ports seem to be enough.

So people need to be bound by EULAs that they don’t click to agree?

The guy hit esc to back out and the game launched anyway. Love it or hate it, whoever screwed up, it wasn’t the verge.

Sorry, sometimes I don’t articulate well. I edited my original comment. Maybe it will clarify what I mean to say.

Not talking about this game. I’m talking about future western releases.

China pandering in games about to go into overdrive.

Edit: when a Chinese game made for Chinese people sells as well as this, you can bet your britches more western studios will try to get in on those sales. How do you do that? Give a bit of a nod towards China in your games and don’t add anything that will piss them off. I wonder if Ubisoft will put assassin’s creed in China next.

It doesn’t matter to me, but I’m just saying expect it.

It’s funny to me that they even felt a need for this clause. What does the game have to do with feminism or Covid? It’s based on ancient Chinese mythology in ancient China telling a fictional story featuring Chinese mythological beings that are not real. Why would there be any reason to bring feminism or Covid into that in the first place?

It’s so weird and seems really snowflakey to me.

Cue the space man gun meme.

It always was store exclusives.
