I started this game but got bored a couple hours in and I can’t really explain why. In theory it felt like a game I should really like but maybe something about the pacing? Do you think it takes a while to get really good and maybe I should try putting more time in or is the way it is at the start pretty much the same the whole way through?
I asked a similar question quite a while back. What ended up feeling good for me from the recommendations was Oxygen Not Included surprisingly. I thought it would be too much but just trying to figure things out on my own was fun, and I found myself falling asleep to thoughts of plans for my colony. Surprisingly addictive and chill, maybe because I could pause and think anytime things started going wrong.
But I also gotta recommend Outer Wilds if you haven’t played it already. Exploration, mystery solving in a chill solar system environment. Go in blind is the best advice for that game but I found it super chill and relaxing.
A link to the whole conversation on Gemini is linked in the article. This is the conversation for anyone else interested
I was wondering if there was some kind of lead up to the response or even baiting, but it really was just out of nowhere. It was all just typical study help stuff. Some of the topics were darker, about abuse and such, but all in an academic context.
In the same boat here, buying a TicWatch 3 was a waste of money… In the end, a cheap Mi Band does what I expect of a smart watch better than the premium priced TicWatch. All I really need is reliable notifications and Mobvoi can’t even deliver that.
I’m staying well away from anything Mobvoi and I recommend everyone else do the same. Good hardware held back by awful software.
It’s not actually about dating.
It’s actually a horror game hiding in a dating sim. Things get more and more bizarre as you play and discover one of the characters has become self aware, eventually involving the player needing to edit files on their computer and such to progress. Not revolutionary but was mind blowing at the time. The Game Grumps did a fun play through.
A friend in high school made nude drawings of another mutual friend. It was weird he showed me but he was generally an artsy guy and I knew he was REALLY into this girl and it was kind of in the context of showing he his art work. I reconnected with the girl years later and talked about this and while she said it was weird she didn’t really think much of it. Rather, the creepy part to her was that he showed people.
I don’t think we can stop horny teens from making horny content about their classmates, heck, I know multiple girls who wrote erotic stories featuring classmates. The sharing (and realism) is what turns the creepy but kind of understandable teenage behavior into something we need to deal with
I’ve been using this a few months and recommend it as well. It’s serviceable but feels a bit janky. Scrolling and switching between view styles tends to leave black boxes on my device, and the UI doesn’t always disappear while scrolling. But I’d still recommend it for how light and fast it is on top of being FOSS
You’ve described my perfect smart watch. I hate the rush for features and better brighter touch screens when all I want is a non intrusive notification device that won’t accidentally call my boss fat when my wrist grazes any other part of my skin.
The Pebble was too good and spoiled my opinion of every smart watch I’ve used since.
I mean, if privacy is really your concern you really shouldn’t use UK servers at all or any other country that’s part of the Five Eyes (or other such alliances https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five_Eyes).
Also, people use VPNs for different reasons, like not wanting your workplace to know your browsing Lemmy during office hours. This is such a strangely confrontational post considering people seem to just be trying to help OP troubleshoot their problem.
On the original point, I can’t seem to access APKPure either, VPN connected to Singapore. Might try other connections when I’m not at work.
Was gonna say Outer Wilds as well. It’s such an amazing experience and kind of made me rethink what video games can be as art and just… an experience. Can be finished really quick though for me it took a good chunk of time.
I’ll also reiterate, don’t look up spoilers. The game is so much about exploration and discovery that going in blind is best.
I don’t think I had the timer, I don’t actually remember there being a choice for one. I think I’ll give it another go until I get a few more upgrades, in retrospect I might not have gotten very far at all, I have no recollection of coolant lines. Thanks!
