Hey I understand where you’re coming from. I also believe that’s one of the areas the sequel can improve upon. With a bigger team and budget, hopefully we’ll get that

I remember playing the first one when it was just available for early access and the gameplay was understandably rough. I played a little bit and then forgotten about until last year when there were some buzz about it again. I brushed off the dust and got to experience such an immersive medieval world. 10/10 in my book

Really cool to see a new IP from Capcom and it being an aesthetically pleasing defense tower game is interesting and takes me back to the Onimusha/Okami/Viewful Joe days

Probably because MMO is not the trending buzz word for execs and shareholders. Plus you got an example of a successful live service game (Helldivers 2). Doubtful that these are the type of people to be in touch with what people actually wants

I would go out on a limb and say it’s probably the joys of traveling and discovering things along the way. The Bethesda “magic” is their approach in open world game design. In almost every corner, there’s something interesting to discover (side quests, well crafted environment, and characters). When you take that away and replace it with just mundane fast traveling, loading screens, and procedurally generated empty maps, then you get Starfield. It’s a Bethesda game missing that Bethesda “magic”

As a former Floridian, this is definitely triggering my PTSD as they seriously nailed the atmosphere of Vice City (Miami). Curious if the main characters will be as well written as V’s were

You don’t even have to go that far for the joke. An official Bloodborne PC port releasing first would be a miracle. God do I pray for that port release 😭

Yeah that’s how developers respond to negative reviews or problems that their players have.

Gotcha, sadly, these are some people’s sentiment regarding AAA studios. Modders are a blessing but then these companies find ways to exploit the passion of their community and fans.

Let’s not give developers the habit of relying on modders to finish their games. I’m tired of studios releasing half ass games

It’s such a blow to the gut to watch this. I don’t often watch The Completionist’s content but when I do, it was enjoyable and he has such a following. To taint and take advantage of the concept of charity is so egregious. Hopefully it doesn’t deter people from charities but instead do more extensive research on the charitable organizations and foundations on their own

Just because it’s about space doesn’t mean it can’t be written well, or have any well thought out game design, or any optimization.

Hmm I get where you’re coming from but if told well enough, I think “bad” or “sad” endings can absolutely work in video games. CP2077 is essentially a futuristic noir. The moral of the story is fame and infamy is bright but short and at the cost of ones life. And it’s the connections you make with people that may outlast you. The story was what carried me through finishing it during it’s initial launch. I think if they had more content and interactions in the city to make it more “alive”, then it would’ve been even more, even after all the updates and dlc, imo.

Yeah, it’s really ashame that most AAA companies opt in the quick and easy ways these days. Especially with CDPR, since most of us saw them grow with the witcher series. But I will die on the hill in agreeing with you that Cyberpunk did better in most aspects than Starfield upon release, other than the amount of bugs. In my opinion, Starfield has taken Bethesda’s outdated “RPG” formula and became something even more bland and hollow than their last game. It’s really sad and disappointing to see honestly

Good, I hope so. Heard a lot of horror stories of working conditions for game devs.

Oh so the complete opposite of the Gollum game? I’m all for it. Playing as a hobbit living peacefully in the Shire sounds amazing.

Why do you think it was better than Discord today? Didn’t get to experience Xfire so genuinely curious about it’s user experience.
