I think I just hit 80 hours and finally made it to chapter 3. It’s definitely more than I bargained for, especially being an older gamer with less time on hand. I’m still determined to finish the damn thing. Still worth it as the story and gameplay are both compelling.

They did do a 6th iteration but if I recall correctly, it was a cash grab mobile game that never made it out of jp and it was shut down eventually. Capcom basically butchered that IP. Makes me sad.

Also Secret of Mana and Secret of Evermore as well.

Played this game through its entirety before the perished city update. It’s got a great atmosphere, story and mechanics. I’m holding off until the full release to do a full playthrough.

This might inspire me to actually finish the game properly.

Had to make a comment about SiN as well. This was one of those $5 disks in the very small PC section of Walmart back in the day. Had some great fun with that game.

I’ve probably played an uncomfortable amount of FF7 to most. During covid, I recently became single so I decided to find some like-minded discord communities to pass that time. I met someone who was streaming FF7. I hopped into the stream and kicked it off with explaining how to get a golden chocobo to reach the final red materia. We’re married now and have a dog :D

I would encourage you and others to give SS1 remake by Nightdive Studios a go. It was well worth the money imo.

1-4 were fantastic. Dragon Quarter, meh. Then I think there was a 6 that was some awful online only web/android game that didn’t break 2 years of support (only released in Japan). This franchise badly needs a good story and direction to work again.

Beyond Good and Evil 2 was announced in 2008 and now they’re doing a “remaster” of the first one? Not having high confidence in what they’re delivering tbh.

My partner and I got a PS5 when they became available and only played a couple of games on it. It mostly collects dust now. I’d attribute a lot to PlayStation’s games becoming more available on PC.

Wartales was one that I’ve been sitting on the fence for as I was unsure if it was going to scratch that itch. Glad to see it’s getting added to Game Pass so I don’t have to wait for a discount on Steam.

They did so well with the System Shock remake. I’d like to see what they can do with Hexen.
