you’re comparing the most premium priciest possible console experience with the cheapest way to play pc games, they can get used consoles as well, and just like pc they get discounts on old games, not to mention that secondhand games are a thing on console,

Where fallout 3 feels like a desolated wasteland, new vegas feels like a generic western with added monsters, it’s got none of the charm of 3 despite every other aspects being better

buying a current switch will be a bummer wen the new one comes, but the ps5 slim won’t be an definitive upgrade from the current one so you can buy without remorse.

Any reason you’re not inching toward a gaming pc ? Since most new games are released on it anyway and it can run switch games better than the switch itself ?

It’s one of those older series I always looked at with a curious gaze without daring getting into it, is there any benefit from playing the older ones in terms of story/lore ? or should I just pick one that looks good and run with it without fear of missing elements ?

I have to say I haven’t tried many games on it, which I probably should since the ps3 was at the time known for it’s exclusives, but I did devour Wipeout HD fury on it ad it was incredibly smooth

if you aren’t aware, the ps3 you can dig out from the internet works really well and lets you get higher rest and a more fluid experience, even on a pc that isn’t top of the line

I see what you mean, you want a "shooter first "game where it doesn’t feel like the world was built around you, all i can say for that is boneworks.

I’m surprised you don’t mention any bethesda titles (fallout3, oblivion, skyrim…) since they’re just an already existing world you’re put into with their own factions an politics you can integrate and influence
