This is very nice of you to do, thanks. I might use it on Dream Quest (2014), which is little-known as the predecessor to Slay the Spire, so probably #3, but any way would probably do.
I’d go with Chants of Sennaar as a direct Steam or GOG gift. Granted, it’s not exactly patient gaming since it came out last year, but I found it had a charming and somehow retro vibe when I tried and enjoyed the demo, and it certainly is an original game concept. I suggest you try it yourself !
Physical game gift card. I don’t like the idea of digital ownership, especially with the garbage that some companies have been pulling with rescinding digital ownership.

Apparently I hadn’t checked in a while, because Steam used to not have digital gifts, I swear! But Yay, I do see they offer gifting digital codes now.

Probably would have to be RimWorld, people who love that game seem to really love it. Nearly pulled the trigger a couple of times.
I live rimworld, my wife is a massive sims fan and I bought rim world for her and she was hooked.
I was hooked for weeks but my brain gets hooked on things for a few weeks then it moves on to the next thing like a adhd riddled child
