It’s trendy recently as downsizing will bring in all the good juju to the company, and cutting the C suit’s salary will always invite bad juju.
Joke aside, EA is probably “struggling”, seeing they lay off like 5% of their staff and also cut down respawn’s new star wars game.
Because less people on payroll means more revenue to pay the execs and report to shareholders.
