Marcus Lehto of course being famous for being one of the lead artists who worked on Halo.

EDIT: “EA SAYS THE NEXT BATTLEFIELD IS A “REIMAGINATION” OF BATTLEFIELD”

Oh my god. They do not get it. When will you learn EA, Battlefield players do not want a reimagined game. We love BF4, BF3, Bad Company, etc. Every time you have tried to do something different it has been met with massive criticism and it performs poorly.

How many times are we going to have to teach you this lesson, EA?

I eventually came to enjoy it but it really isn’t a whole lot like the others. It felt more like a ‘beginners’ version of the previous three games (4, 3, BC2). Not to say that it was easy to be good but that it was pretty limited in what you could get good at. I really miss the days of BC2 or BF3, playing for hours and doing crazy shit, then having some laughs watching Battlefield Friends videos.

Some of this is just being older now, but BF5 was lifeless and I did purchase 2042 (split with a friend), but played maybe 5 minutes before asking myself “what’s the point?” and turning it off never having opened it back up again. I think COD and Battlefield fucking way over saturated the market, sucked all the life out of their games with monetization efforts, and totally turned me off on FPS games.

It turned out alright, but it would’ve done better and had a stronger continued player base if it had just been a BF3/BF4 rehash. BF players are similar to CS players. New things come and go, but Dust 2 and Gulf of Oman are forever.

BF2 will hold a special place in my heart. I had many good times in that game. BF3 and onwards only got worse at each iteration. Call of duty was a major influence on the game and it eventually fell out of favour with me.
