This trailer looked so generic that i started to compare its animations to the standard unreal lyra stuff.
It feels really assetflippy. That sprinting animation of that huge robot/mech just looks so off.
Also the framrate dropping below 30 fps in the trailer is not a good look. especially while the game isnt even running at native 4k. There is some not so pretty TAA/upscaling going on.
Sorry, but i dont think its going to be anything but UE5 Slop.
I mean yeah. But i’ve seen enough trailers and played enough games in the last 25 years. This just doesnt look like something i like to give the benefit of doubt. I might be wrong. We will see if/when it gets released.
…Which is an under-rated game, IMO. Yes, the main quests and characters have the charisma of sticks in mud, but it has some neat side quests, kinda like a BGS RPG. I liked the Ryder-SAM dynamics, and counter to the “my face is tired” meme, the animations, graphics, combat and everything are all great. Mechanically, it feels infinitely better than Starfield.
So yeah, I’ll take more of that. Even if it doesn’t have ME trilogy-like characters, which is kinda an unreasonable expectation.

Pretty cynical take, this looks right at home for those who like Mass Effect.
