I’ve been playing Mass Effect: Andromeda, which I got on sale recently, and man does it ever suck.
All the charm and fun and engagement has been surgically removed from the series. Your squad is dull and bland, the choices-matter don’t, the mechanics are tedious, looting and crafting are even hollower than normal and the fake Australian accents on the Boring Fish People are pissing me right off. It’s the worst factory-farmed content I’ve encountered in ages. Oh and getting voice lines every 30 seconds to update you on the temperature, that’s just brilliant I wish every game had that.
This version Mass Effect: Andromeda is so suck. Don’t play it first or you will hate the whole series
Enjoy others release.
So I finished Super Mario Wonder and it’s as good as you’ve heard it to be.
And I just started playing Cult of the Lamb. Really digging that so far, although I can already feel the anxiety that usually comes along with the base management aspects of these games; so much to do, no idea what to prioritise.
Playing Moonring and I adore this game. It’s so simple and refined, despite being blatantly and admittedly unfinished. Exploration feels mysterious and segmental, dungeons feel well thought out, the story offers just enough to let you fill in the blanks, and best of all there’s no forced grinding in this RPG. Best completely free game I’ve played in years.
Minecraft, viewfinder, and recently Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe (which I just recently played today). I admittedly haven’t been playing very many games as of late.
I did recently get a Steam Controller though (Pre-owned but never used) and have been trying it out to play the games while docked. It takes a bit of getting used to due to the lack of second stick but it’s surprisingly good.
