Today’s game is The Ghost Town Pumpkin Festival. Me and some friends played this to carve pumpkins together today. It was a good time. I carved this largish pumpkin meant to look like a cat. I forgot the tail though unfortunately.
This game is a great time with friends. It’s like this little social lobby kind of like Club Penguin and stuff. I honestly feel like it’s a dying breed. Also though i think if it was common place, i might not appreciate it enough.
I have really fond memories of being young, and trying to create my own “Hangout” Hub Game like this in Little Big Planet 2. I had no idea how it would work, but little me was a dreamer. It’s nice to see something like this still kicking around though. I hope to see more things like this some day. Just a place to gather with friends. Especially if it stays strictly free and avoids a freemium model.
of course, this game would be a bit boring if it was just a game where you wander around and place pumpkins. There’s other things to do, such as this Haunted House Escape Room thing. It was a fun time, though, the proper horror setting doesn’t feel very scary. I was kind of hoping for something really scary with the warnings. It was a good time though.
There’s a hayride too, and a Movie Theater with a Slenderman-like section you can do. It’s honestly all a good time. I’d say it’s worth checking out today. And if you’re too busy on Halloween, you can do it some other day. It’s up for a few weeks after Halloween.
